International Women's Day, held on March 8, celebrates women's achievement and raises awareness against bias. This year, the theme is 'each for equal', taking action for equality. We still have a long way to go in the automotive industry for gender parity, but we are getting there. Organisations like Women in Automotive are helping, making ladies feel supported and giving them a chance to network within the sector, to make them feel they are not alone in a male-dominated industry. On March 5, Women in Automotive held a breakfast to celebrate International Women's Day, with a Women in Motorsport theme. On stage were a panel of guests, including 2016 Australian Rally Car champion, Molly Taylor, COO of Triple Eight Red Bull Racing, Jessica Dane, and motorsport reporter and RPM co-host, Kate Peck. Jessica and Kate joined Mandy Turner for an International Women's Day podcast, where you'll get an insight into a day-in-the-life of them at the racetrack, why motorsport makes them tick, and how they made the transition to their chosen career.
