(Rick) Walker, Ph.D., a veteran law enforcement officer and Master Texas Peace Officer, announced his candidacy for the position of Comal County Sheriff. The candidate has been a dedicated and successful law enforcement professional for nearly 40 years, serving in a variety of law enforcement positions including patrolman, investigator, and supervisor with police departments in South Carolina and Texas.

In December of 2012 New Braunfels Utiities removed banners from NBU Utility poles that said, "Keep Christ in Christmas." Some people took to FaceBook or shared their thoughts in letters to the editors....Kaitlyn and I started a radio show called 1 City Under God. It has been a blessing for both of us to meet so many people that we never would have met otherwise and to celebrate the Christ centered things they are doing here in New Braunfels and around the world. Kaitlyn and I want to thank God for his many blessings and thank all of you who listened to, appeared on the air and supported us these past 3 years.
