A summer bonus! Take a peek behind the curtain, and life before Fertility Awareness Project. How did a season of burnout as a social worker led Nat to FAM? We're sharing a recording of an interview that a past Cycle Love client, Nicole did with Nat. Nicole had me on her podcast our conversation was so good, we wanted to share it here! Nicole did her research, and came through with some hard hitting questions. This episode covers: Nat's story, how she found FAM, and her connection to social work Social media influencers shaping the narrative around hormonal birth control  The polarized narrative around hormonal birth control and FAM Who can use FAM?  What if I have irregular cycles, or currently am on hormonal birth control? What do I have to do to follow FAM? How do I start? How much does FAM cost? How can I involve my partner?  Vice article by Anya Zoledziowski: ‘Holistic Healers’ on TikTok Want You to Quit Birth Control  Wired article by Sarah Sloat: Birth Control TikTok Is a Symptom of Medicine's Bigger Problem Take FAM Fundamentals Free Listen to Nicole's podcast: www.multitudespodcast.com IG: @multitudes.podcast

Reclaiming our body and pleasure is a beautiful side effect of charting our cycles and living cyclically. Part of this process comes from the awareness and perception of our own bodies and anatomy. Nat has a beautiful conversation with Vida, a fellow Cycle Coach, embodied movement teacher and an anatomy enthusiast.  Vida owns her own studio, called Body Sense, where she works with clients 1:1 to help them heal their bodies and their relationships with their bodies through movement, menstrual cycle awareness and cyclical self care. She lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with her wonderful partner, James, and their 2 dogs and 3 cats. Eating for your cycle is a hot topic in the fertility awareness space! So many of us struggle with cycle challenges, and eating for your cycle is one way to nourish your body and hormones. What is it like to be a FAM educator and navigate your own personal charting challenges? Joy and Nat have a vulnerable conversation about the ways in which life has impacted our cycles, and how we stay hopeful when these challenges arise. We also talk about Joy's experience going through Justisse and the ways in which her culture flows through the fertility awareness education she provides for her community. Joy of Full Moon Fertility is a Fertility Awareness Educator and Holistic Health Reproductive Health Practitioner. She grew up inAlderville First Nation in Southern Ontario, Canada. Joy is Anishinaabe and her culture is a huge part of her identity. She teaches menstruators about their menstrual cycles as a health tool and to achieve or avoid pregnancy, strivinge to make fertility, cervical mucus, vagina's and uterus' fun and talked about more openly. To use our fertility to our advantage instead of fearing it, is her ultimate goal. How do we as facilitators create intentional, sacred online spaces that foster connection? How do we embrace all of the facets of ovulation, both the sparkly ones and the shadowy ones? What are some of the differences between menstrual cycle awareness and fertility awareness? In this conversation, Nat interviews Claire Baker, a a sought-after period coach, author and speaker. For nearly a decade Claire has taught thousands of women how to live in harmony with their menstrual cycle, rather than working against it. Claire believes menstrual cycle awareness is the missing key in women’s wellbeing, empowerment and creativity, and her immersive online courses and workshops inspire women to know their flow and become the authority in their own lives. Claire’s online program Adore Your Cycle has students in over 35 countries. Find Claire's work at clairebaker.com. Take her free class, Start to Chart. Check out Cycle Coach School. She has been charting since 2016, and has tried a variety of femtech and natural family planning methods which she blogs and talks about on @chartyourfertility on social media and chartyourfertility.com.
