A one minute reminder-to-self that might also help you too, on remaining in and as that space within that can never be overwhelmed...This is a first upload, a beginning tester... just to see! (and no overwhelm, despite my lack of tech savvy!)Also after editing my intro and outro in Audacity...trying to fade the music in and out and connect elements together...will improve :) I'll be creating a more podcast-style format as I learn and go along.Thank you for tuning in :)rowenaPlease see more via my website Rowenascotney.com * The wonderful music for the intro and outro is 'Wavy Glass' by Podington Bear Soundofpicture.com Support the show
An 18 minute guided meditation for relaxation, grounding and presence. This is my own meditation, inspired by my own practice and elements of others I've loved over the years. This is a beautiful meditation for centring before intuitive painting, for allowing all to emerge without the 'thinking mind' of judgement and 'ought-to-bes' taking control. Meditation begins at 1min 12 secsPlease see more artwork, articles and info at www.rowenascotney.com Music by Podington Bear www.soundofpicture.com - 'Wavy Glass' and 'Floating in Space'Artwork by Rowena Scotney Podcast cover - 'Garden Robin’ felting Episode cover - ‘White Owl flies into and out of the field’ - intuitive painting. An audio version of a blog post written a little while ago, with much added! ...including Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd ...quite surprising how they jumped in :)On managing energies, and becoming a skilled empath... from initially noticing, then returning to sender... to ultimately not being affected at all, and remaining as the witnessing space xI will be adding the transcript/or link here, as soon as I work out how to do it :)Please see more artwork, articles and info at www.rowenascotney.com Music by Podington Bear www.soundofpicture.com - 'Wavy Glass' Artwork by Rowena ScotneyPodcast cover - 'Garden Robin’ feltingEpisode cover - 'Return Energy to Sender' - intuitive paintingSupport the show
Visualising a quiet, beautiful room of one's own, for calming, centring and coming home. A simple, gentle practice that can stay with you for years, visioning a beautiful space... another way to connect to the deeper space of peace that is always within, and is who we truly are.... no-matter how difficult or distracting the externals may feel to be.I have added a 7 min guided meditation of walking up the stairs to your room, here  I realised that this episode gives lots of great info about the visualisation, but not the visualisation itself :)Please see more artwork, articles and info at www.rowenascotney.com Music by Podington Bear www.soundofpicture.com - 'Wavy Glass'Artwork by Rowena ScotneyEpisode cover - 'Colours on the Water' - oil on boardPodcast cover - 'Garden Robin’ feltingSupport the show
An episode of almost 17 mins on the beautiful practice of intuitive painting and how it all unfolds... Inspired by a recent workshop - one of the many I've hosted on Zoom, and locally, for women. This episode explores themes around being present with all our emotions, and also on kindness, meditation...and on how intuitive paintings evolve by themselves and can become such wonderful, gentle teachers and reminders too.Mooji is mentioned and also the transformative NARP programme by Melanie Tonia Evans... and Qigong too!...and how all are intertwined xThis is a completely unscripted episode, just to see... (amazed that I spoke for almost 17 mins and no pausing!) ... and it is also part of a personal practice on confidence, visibility and voice, and on self-acceptance and self-love.Please see my intuitive painting site for the painting in full and for details of the Zoom workshops. Please see more artwork, articles and info at www.rowenascotney.com Music by Podington Bear www.soundofpicture.com - 'Wavy Glass'Artwork by Rowena ScotneyEpisode cover - 'The mirror, the heart & the glowing bird' (detail) - intuitive paintingPodcast cover - 'Garden Robin’ feltingSupport the show
A 16 minute guided meditation for relaxation, cleansing and warmth. This is another of my own meditations, inspired by my own practice and elements of others I've loved over the years. This is a beautiful meditation for acknowledging, feeling and releasing any tensions and anxieties at any point throughout your day and is also wonderful for centring before intuitive painting. The visualisation of enveloping in golden light is one of warmth and wellbeing, both for ourselves and others. Meditation begins at 1min 30 secsPlease see more artwork, articles and info at www.rowenascotney.com ....................................................................................................................................Music by Podington Bear www.soundofpicture.com - 'Gentle Marimbas'Artwork by Rowena ScotneyEpisode cover - ‘Moonlight evening in May'Podcast cover - 'Garden Robin’ feltingSupport the show

A 16 minute guided meditation for peace, calming and centring in the body and looking within for guidance, from our truest and most authentic space, rather than, perhaps automatically, looking outside for answers. On asking to be shown and being willing and open to receive. This may be around general questions or specific circumstances -  we can start to trust what emerges and live from this wise heart-centred space. There is a little commentary too before the meditation begins, including the reference to Mr Duffy in the story 'A Painful Case',  in James Joyce's 'Dubliners' - 'Mr Duffy lived a short distance from his body'. This is another of my own meditations, inspired by my own practice and elements of others I've loved over the years. Please see more artwork, articles and info about workshops  at www.rowenascotney.com ....................................................................................................................................Music by Podington Bear www.soundofpicture.com - 'Gentle Marimbas'Artwork by Rowena ScotneyEpisode cover - ‘Calm, after gardening' (detail) - intuitive paintingPodcast cover - 'Garden Robin’ feltingSupport the show
