For this 6th episode, I had the chance to seat with the first girl of this podcast. The Norwegian Maria Tviberg was kind enough to talk about her way through 4 ACL injuries and gave some tips from her own experience. We all know that alpine skiing is a risky sport. And everyone is ready to accept that a few steps back during a career might happen. But not so many people are able to to break 4 ACL and still wants to fight for the top spots in Worldcup! Maria explains us her ups and downs of reha and why she wasn't sure she would come back after the last injury. N.B. For this fourth episode, I got the chance to sit down with Victor Wiacek, originally from Poland but living in the USA since his childhood. This episode is a little bit different, since he is the first guest not racing on the world cup tour, but that doesn't mean we didn't talk about racing. As a fact, he is an athlete as well, but his life changed drastically two years ago when a ski laceration almost took his life while doing what he likes most, skiing. So he dedicated his time into making ski racing safer and try to put awareness into the dangers of ski laceration. So as I got a cut myself last season, we can both relate to a different level to the danger of it and talked about our feelings and what has to be done to make racing safer!ORDER YOUR PROTECTIONhttps://www.vixprotection.comFollow us on the social media to know more about our career and ask your question for the next episodes!https://www.instagram.com/loicmeillard/https://www.instagram.com/vic_wia_/https://loicmeillard.ch/Support the show (https://www.paypal.me/loicmeillard)
