Unfortunately on this day Joel Schumacher passed away so we honor him by watching his 1990 classic FLATLINERS with Keifer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon and Julia Roberts. Enjoy! It's been a couple weeks! Perhaps the world has been a little TOO nuts for us to do a JUST LIKE THE MOVIES commentary in a while but we're back with Michael Douglas and Joel Schumacher's FALLING DOWN. We chose this one because it's hot as shit right now and the heat was part of what made Michael Douglas character go nutso. We didn't actually realize or remember how many timely topics are actually presented in the movie though. Either way, we had a good time and hope you do too! Hey everyone! Katie and I finally found a name for our podcast....drum roll......JUST LIKE THE MOVIES. Where we do movie commentaries on films that mirror what's going on in the real world at that moment. Today's picture is John Carpenter's VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED. Why? Because many of us around the world just found out that our kids schools and daycares are cancelled for the next few weeks due to Coronavirus and sometimes there's nothing scarier than the thought of having no reprieve from your devil children. We're doing a new podcast! One where we take whatevers going on in the real world and watch movies that compare to it. Hey guys! Exciting announcement if you didn't hear me mention it on the show before. But, my Wife Katie and I will be doing a new podcast as well that will be under the WWAM Podcast Network Umbrella. The podcast is going to be about us taking things that are happening in the real world currently and relating them to movies about the same thing. Sometimes commentaries, sometimes regular podcasts. The plan was to start in February w Valentines Day horror but familial duties and Katie getting the flu halted that. But we did get atleast one commentary out of it! Coming soon will be the first official podcast and it will be related to the recent Coronavirus and movies about Outbreaks. Like uh....Outbreak. Help us think of a name for it will ya?!
