Journey with us this week on our Season 3 finale, as we take a look at an album by an band who shined a light on the Seattle Grunge movement, were responsible for one of the biggest bands in the world, Foo Fighters and single handedly changed the music industry. The band was Nirvana and the album was Nevermind.
Shayne and Andrew take a look at the legacy of Nevermind that kicked Michael Jackson off the charts and produced a sound like the Bay City Rollers getting attacked by Black Sabbath. One of the most impactful albums of all time and a fitting end to Season 3.

This week we go bad to 1985 when we took up arms...Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits.
Brothers In Arms was an album that spent a staggering 34 weeks at number 1 in Australia (a record that has never been beaten), and a tour that sold 2.5 million tickets and once again in Australia set a record for the most number of consecutive appearances at a single venue in Sydney…21 nights.

Last week Shayne Brian had the opportunity to chat with Shannon Noll about his music and his journey on The Bad Boys Lockdown so it was a perfect opportunity to explore the music he has created over the last 20 years.
The interview was genuinely funny, the man himself was as true blue Aussie as you could get. He is the boy next door, the larrikin that won the hearts of rural Australia and his country town tours are a testament of that.

Last week we looked at how the band that is now known as Jefferson Starship had its beginnings. And we finished with possibly one of their most famous tracks from the 70’s Jane. With the 80’s came some big changes, the least of which was their name change to just Starship. In reality Jefferson Starship never really went away, and even today there is still two bands with some of the members from the original lineup reforming Jefferson Starship and Mickey Thomas touring with a band known originally as Mickey Thomas’s Starship.
In the first half of the show we look at the music of Starship and then in the second half of the show we chat with the new lead singer of Jefferson Starship - Cathy Richardson.
