From the Beat Generation musicians of 60’s to the musicians we grew up with through the decades, they have become know for their influence on the music that has shaped the soundtrack of our lives. Simply known as The Beat Generation.

The Beat Generation got its name from the 50’s writers that inspired so much music. During Season 3, Shayne Brian & Andrew Hackett look at albums that have changed our lives by artists that have changed the face of musical landscape.

Journey with us this week on our Season 3 finale, as we take a look at an album by an band who shined a light on the Seattle Grunge movement, were responsible for one of the biggest bands in the world, Foo Fighters and single handedly changed the music industry. The band was Nirvana and the album was Nevermind.  Shayne and Andrew take a look at the legacy of Nevermind that kicked Michael Jackson off the charts and produced a sound like the Bay City Rollers getting attacked by Black Sabbath. Last week we looked at how the band that is now known as Jefferson Starship had its beginnings. And we finished with possibly one of their most famous tracks from the 70’s Jane. With the 80’s came some big changes, the least of which was their name change to just Starship. In reality Jefferson Starship never really went away, and even today there is still two bands with some of the members from the original lineup reforming Jefferson Starship and Mickey Thomas touring with a band known originally as Mickey Thomas’s Starship.
