This week Liz and Becky are joined by Angela de Castro an award winning clown, theatre practitioner, actor, director and speaker. De Castro is the Clown in Charge and Artistc Director at the Why Not Institue and we spoke about her career in the arts, what she has been doing to keep going through the pandemic and what the future might look like. We spoke about the ever changing regulations and rules of indoor performance, how different backstage jobs are affected by the pandemic and what the prospects are for returning to some kind of normality. This week Liz and Becky are joined by Sam Avery and Alexandra Hofgartner. Sam is the Artistic Director of the Comedy Trust and a stand up comedian who was half way through a national tour when lockdown hit. He talks about the pros and cons of trying to do outreach over the internet during lockdown with The Comedy Trust and some of the more unique lockdown gigs he's been offered.  Alexandra is the Artistic Director of The Decedant Rabbit and a co-producer for The Ministry of Burlesque. She is a multitskilled practitioner who directors, performs, teaches, produces and more. Ugly Bucket fuse clown, techno and verbatim to bring hilarious and hard hitting pieces of work to the stage. Their past productions include Bost Uni Pluse, a show about post  university depression, Two Clowns One Cup which explores women's sexuality and their most recent piece of work is Good Grief, a show about  grief. This week Liz and Becky are joined by Andy Dockerty who is the Managing Director of Adlib. Adlib is a lighting, sound and visuals hire, sales and installations company who have seen all of their current and future work disappear overnight due to lockdown. Andy built Adlib from the ground up and the company now employs over 160 full time members of staff and works on large scale events including many international music tours and large festivals. He has also been a key organiser for the action group #WeMakeEvents.
