I'm doing something a little different with you this week. I recorded part of one of my Empress Circle coaching calls with my client Paula "Porscha" Burgess of Beyond The Maze, and what started as a coaching session turned into one of my favourite conversations on this podcast.Paula used to feel far more at home in rooms full of men than rooms full of women, race car driver energy, all armour, absolutely no interest in "flowers in the hair." Then a last minute swap saw her walk into one of my retreats instead of the men's retreat she'd already planned to attend, and I watched everything shift for her. She's candid with me about the guard she walked in with, the moment she realised there was no judgement in that room, and how six months on, she's gone from my Empress Circle to running her own business transformation event.I also get her to walk me through Business By Design, her brand new event on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland this November. It's a small group, one on one facilitated experience built for the ADHD brain, where you audit your business, build and actually implement a 90 day plan on the spot, walk away with your own AI assistant, and even write a chapter for a book. If you've ever sat through a conference and gone home with a folder full of ideas you never actioned, this is the opposite of that, and I genuinely wish I'd had this offered to me earlier in my own business. This is Structure, Strategy and Support in action, and it's a reminder that sometimes the armour you think is keeping you safe is the very thing keeping you from the room you actually belong in.Episode 269, Porscha's first appearance on the podcast https://open.spotify.com/episode/1qD3NKVrmxnTSLHpBwkkqO?si=d309338214e9482bConnect with Paula Burgess, Beyond the Maze:Business By Design with Paula Burgess, Sunshine Coast Hinterland, 25 to 28 November https://resources.beyondthemaze.com.au/bbd-eoiPaula Burgess, Beyond The Maze https://beyondthemaze.com.au/Facebook www.facebook.com/beyondthemazeInstagram beyond_themazeConnect with us - Diane and Michelle Anne, Thosesisters:Rich Lady Revolution, The Membership www.those2sisters.au/membershipOur Retreats www.those2sisters.com/retreatsPlan, Produce, Publish Podcast www.those2sisters.au/plan-produce-publish-podcastDiane McKendrick, Socials Instagram: dianemckendrickFacebook: www.facebook.com/diane.mckendrickThose Sisters, website www.those2sisters.com
Welcome to a brand new series I'm kicking off with you, Beyond the Book. You've read her chapter, now hear her story.First up is someone I adore. Tash Johnston, chapter eight of our sixth book, The Rich Lady Revolution: The Embodied Era, and co-founder of Farm Angels, the charity that's supported Australian farmers through drought and disaster for 12 years, raising over $30 million along the way. What most people don't know is what put her on that path. As a young girl, Tash watched her mum break down on the kitchen floor when the banks were circling their family farm, and later learned her parents had a suicide pact if it all came crashing down. That's the seed of everything she's built since. We also get real about what it cost her. The breakdown behind the Australian of the Year Award. The imposter syndrome. The perimenopause she didn't even know she was in. And how retreats, community and a friend who wouldn't let her hide brought her back to herself, all the way to co-authoring her chapter and training in breathwork. This is Self Belief, Support and Spirituality in action. Your whisper is usually the thing worth listening to.Ready to stop performing and start rebuilding from the inside out?Connect with us - Diane and Michelle Anne, Thosesisters.Website: https://www.those2sisters.com/Join us inside the Rich Lady Revolution Membership, $149 a month, no lock-in contracts. Real relationships are the new currency, and this episode proves it. In this instalment of The Rich Lady Revolution, we sit down with Asseneth Quintero of Impactfully Small, a fractional general manager who has spent her career helping small to medium businesses grow across industries and countries, including scaling one business from seven million to twenty five million dollars, while growing the people inside it just as much as the numbers.Asseneth shares what it actually looks like to build a one team, one goal culture, why breaking down silos matters as much as any strategy, and how her work now gives leaders access to senior, trusted support for major projects and sustainable growth, without the cost or commitment of a permanent hire. We talk about the hidden cost of doing it all yourself, why asking for help is responsible leadership rather than weakness, and how normalising support is one of the biggest levers against burnout. This is Structure and Support in action, because sustainable growth was never meant to come at the cost of your health, your family or your peace.Ready for more profit and peace in your own life and business? Money doesn't create character, it amplifies it. In part two of this conversation, we pick up right where we left off with Lucienne Miller from Socially Constructed, going deeper into embodiment, nervous system safety and what true wealth actually means once you stop measuring it in dollars alone.Lucie shares her own path from severe postnatal illness and OCD to building a career in brain friendly leadership, trauma informed workplace design and positive psychology, shaped in no small part by raising four kids as a military family who move around the world. Together we unpack Rich Lady Rule Two, take messy but aligned action, and Rich Lady Rule Three, fulfilment first, finances follow, and why neuroplastic change needs discomfort, but never at the cost of safety. This is the difference between being stretched and being flooded, and why co-regulation, in a community, in a retreat room, in a conversation like this one, is what makes the stretch survivable. This is what we call Self Belief and Support in action. Redefining rich was never about choosing between profit and peace, it was always about having both.Ready for more profit and peace in your own life and business? We've all done the seminars, read the books, and nodded along to the podcasts, so why does it still feel like nothing has actually changed? In this episode of The Rich Lady Revolution, we sit down with Lucie from Socially Constructed, who works with corporates, militaries and major firms on regenerative leadership, wellbeing and nervous system science, to talk about the gap between knowing something and actually embodying it.Lucie explains why Western culture treats embodiment as unsafe, why knowledge feels so much safer than feeling, and how trauma can make the body feel like unfamiliar territory. She reminds us that sensations and emotions have to be learned and named before we can work with them, and she is refreshingly honest about the danger of quick fix nervous system claims. This is a slow, deep, soul level conversation about learning to come home to yourself, at your own pace. This one is part one of two, so keep an ear out for round two coming soon. This is the Self Belief and Spirituality Checkpoints in action, because real change was never going to happen in your head alone.Ready for more profit and peace in your own life and business?
