In today's episode, we are going to address a topic that I don't feel is addressed very much but affects many families in the United States and around the world. You may have this need in your family, as well. What we're talking about today is special needs planning. If you have someone in your life, whether that might be a relative close to you or a child of your own that has special needs, today's episode is something for you to consider. We'll be talking about what to do from an investment standpoint in income planning, tax planning, and general financial planning. As always, these are concepts and educational tools, and resources for you to begin the conversation. Now, if you know anyone who can benefit from this episode, please share, we would love for our podcast audience to continue to listen and grow from the education. Resources Mentioned:Southside Services - https://southsideservices.org/Pacer -  https://www.pacer.org/American College of Planning - https://americancollegeplanningservice.com/Find out more about Forethought Planning: www.forethoughtplanning.comFollow Forethought Planning on social media:FacebookLinkedInYouTube channelScore our free Wealth Assessment tool on our website.Securities offered through LPL Financial, a member of FINRA/SIPC. Feeling like they're going to talk in a bunch of different abbreviations and a vocabulary that might feel like a foreign language to you? Today, we're going to talk a little bit about what the difference is, in working with a financial advisor or financial planner that focuses on behavioral finance. Why should you consider a financial advisor that is focused on helping you through your behaviors, your money story, your philosophy with money, and creating a strong foundation to implement a financial strategy. So if you know somebody that is in the market for having a stronger relationship with a financial planner, or shopping for a financial planner, this is a great episode for you to tune into. Today we're talking about why everything cost so much more right now. And how does one little word have so much impact on the financial decisions that we might make? And how does this impact us from varying points in our lives? Well, if you've gone to the grocery store, and you've seen an increase in your grocery bill, or you're trying to buy a house right now, and you're in constant battles with individuals who are showing up with offers better than yours, I get it. I understand how all of those things play a part in how we make financial decisions, and what do all of these things really mean for us now, and in the future? Let's talk about what inflation actually is. Today it's all about moms and key pieces that women have the tendency to give up or take on that they shouldn't when it comes to their wealth. Motherhood is what we're going to talk about in today's episode. Motherhood when it comes to deciding to stay home and raise the kids, what to do when you decide to return to work, and how to bring your kids into a real conversation about wealth. So if you know a mother, if you are a mother, if you have a community of mothers, whatever fashion that might be, you should be listening to this episode and sharing it with your friends. Find out more about Forethought Planning: www.forethoughtplanning.comFollow Forethought Planning on social media:FacebookLinkedInYouTube channelScore our free Wealth Assessment tool on our website.Securities offered through LPL Financial, a member of FINRA/SIPC. In today's episode, we are going to talk about being Sasha Fierce with your wealth! Maybe it's Sasha Fierce, aka Beyonce. Maybe it's Madonna. Maybe it's Gwyneth Paltrow. Maybe it's Michelle Obama, or maybe it's Oprah. You insert the woman who is the icon that you look up to. A woman who is a rebel without a cause in her own way, pushing through those glass ceilings and getting to the place that she wants to be. But she's also financially savvy and aware, producing that responsible level of wealth that allows for her family to be cared for, the community to be invested in, and that next generation of wealth to multiply. I'm talking about fierce female investors. What does it take for you to be in that same space? Well tune in to today's episode, and if you know another amazing female that should be listening to this podcast, share it with your friends. We would love to have you do that on your social media, as well as through email, text, hey, and even a carrier pigeon. Shout it from the rooftops! Today we are talking about what you should be considering around your wealth in your 60s and beyond. And this is a fun spot for me because I have spent much of my career guiding individuals through transformations into this amazing time of their life. Today we are going to talk about the stress of replacing that steady income you were making, how to handle medical insurance, finding your purpose after leaving your job, deciding if it's okay to retire earlier than expected, and how to live with your partner in peace and harmony. After all, you two will be spending a lot of time together!Find out more about Forethought Planning: www.forethoughtplanning.comFollow Forethought Planning on social media:FacebookLinkedInYouTube channelScore our free Wealth Assessment tool on our website.Securities offered through LPL Financial, a member of FINRA/SIPC. We are continuing our conversation through the decades. And this week, we are focused on what you should be doing in your 40s and 50s. There are things that you might be experiencing in your 40s and 50s that have caused you to hit a pause. If that's the case, then listen to our last episode. Because you don't have to be in your 20's and 30's to start your wealth journey. But, otherwise, in your 40's and 50's, you are probably well established in life, and I love this pre-retirement conversation. Today's episode will cover your biggest expense in your 40's, starting your career over if you stayed home to watch the kids, and why fear can be retirement's biggest enemy. This month's Thrive For[e]ward non-profit of the month is Diverse Daisies! In today's episode of the podcast, we are going to specifically be breaking down the topics that you should be thinking about from a financial perspective, in your 20s, and your 30s. These are critical timeframes in our financial wellness to build a solid foundation. Now, many individuals will tell you in their 40s, and beyond that, they wish that they would have done some of these things in their 20s and their 30s. Money touches every aspect of our lives. And there are very specific things based on where we are in our life cycle that we should be touching on. So while we're not giving you advice in this podcast, we are asking you to understand these topics a little bit further, ask questions, and form a team, your personal board of directors in your 20s and 30s. This is the perfect time to establish those individuals. And we'll talk more about who those people are in this week's episode!Find out more about Forethought Planning: www.forethoughtplanning.comFollow Forethought Planning on social media:FacebookLinkedInYouTube channelScore our free Wealth Assessment tool on our website.Securities offered through LPL Financial, a member of FINRA/SIPC. Have you ever heard of the phrase "Keeping Up with the Joneses?"Is this something you, or someone you know, might be trying to do? It's really hard with all of the images in magazines at the checkout lanes, or ads we're served when scrolling through social media. Or even television shows we watch about redesigning our homes and making them even bigger and better than they already are. There are so many ways this can affect us in our day-to-day lives. Are we using the people we look up to as an inspiration for success or are we just trying to look and live their lifestyle at an expense we can't afford? This is what we're going to talk about today because it's an important topic.I'm also going to give you some tips on how to avoid those temptations. IOn today's episode, we are going to touch on short-term vs. long-term. Have you ever found yourself in a scenario where either you're living too much for the present and not enough for the future? Or maybe you're too worried about the future and missing out on the present? Or maybe you're just locked in the present so much that your head is literally buried in the sand? Well, today's podcast is for you, my friend. Watch the podcast here:https://forethoughtplanning.com/blog-podcast#sustainability #financialplanning  #planning #podcastsofinstagram #wealthmindset #wealthmanagement #thriveforward #podcasts #womenpodcasthost #financialadvisor #moneymindsetSecurities offered through LPL Financial, a member of FINRA/SIPC. On today's episode, I am going to share a personal experience that I'm living through right now. Caregiving and being part of what we call the "sandwich generation." I'm not talking about actual sandwiches, but the element of feeling like you're in a sandwich. For instance, I am a mother, a daughter, and a granddaughter. Now the two generations on either side of me need my care, and so I'm going to walk you through some personal experiences caregiving not only for my daughters, but my dad, my mom, and my grandmother. What are some things that you should start considering in those conversations of transition, and care? This might not be something that you are currently dealing with, but I will tell you, friend, at some point in life, you will likely play the title of caregiver. The last three weeks have been kind of tumultuous in the Foreman household. And kind of like the last two years, we have had our lovely girls home with us. And although times have been up and down in the household with lots of iPad time, lots of TV time and lots of online learning, we thought it would be fun as an element of learning, for the girls to join us on an episode of The Thrive For[e]ward podcast. I have heard from clients and just individuals ask how to start a conversation with their kids about money. What are the things that are important? And so I gave the microphone over to my kids today to ask me questions about my job, questions about money, and questions about what does money means to them? And what should they be doing with their money when it comes to buying, spending, saving, giving, and investing? What do all those things mean to a seven and eight-year-old? So if you have children and or grandchildren that you're looking to expand this conversation with, today's episode is a great one to tune into.Find out more about Forethought Planning: www.forethoughtplanning.comFollow Forethought Planning on social media:FacebookLinkedInYouTube channelScore our free Wealth Assessment tool on our website.Securities offered through LPL Financial, a member of FINRA/SIPC. If you have a significant person in your life that you are romantically involved with, maybe it's your hubby, maybe it's your wife, maybe it's your partner, or maybe it's the person that you just adore and have spent your life with. But if something happened, you'll have that person's back financially. So how do you talk to them about money? It can be an incredibly uncomfortable conversation for some individuals who are romantically involved to bring up the conversation around money. However, it's kind of important. And money, as I say often, touches many aspects of our lives, but especially our relationships, and especially those we are romantically involved with. According to a study, 22% of failed marriages say that money is the issue of why they are getting divorced. Money does touch every aspect of our lives. And if we don't talk about it, or we aren't on the same page, or even in the same chapter, or even in the same book, it can be hard to move forward together. So on today's podcast, maybe you sit down with your partner, play this in the car on a road trip, or even on a date night, and have a conversation around what we are going to be talking about today.
