Season 3: Episode 3As the heroes venture forward through this strange city, they explore a bit hoping to find some cool loot, but what they find is a messy bloodbath, a metric shit-ton of flies, and way more questions.Credits“Festival of the Dead Theme" song by Rob ConleyThanks to battlebards.com for use of amazing sound effects and music. Battlebards provide an excellent service to help make your story more immersive. Whether you record your game or not, their selection of weapon hits, monster snarls, spells noises, music, etc. will suck your players into the story.SponsorsCompany: John Dossinger PublishingWebsite: LibertyEndures.comWe're simultaneously releasing two new products within our multimedia IP: A sci-fi & post apocalyptic RPG system core book and a new podcast where we played the new system. The RPG - Liberty: AFTER is an RPG system created using the Open Gaming License for 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons. It features 150+ pages, 30+ new classes, 30+ new weapons, dozens of new special abilities, deities, new poisons, enemies, and new misfire charts. Full-color art is on almost every page (15+ artists including D&D artist veterans like Dave Dorman, Karl Moline, and Eirich Olson). The last gimmick is that players who submit their stories to us can have their stories immortalized in the world's canon, so long as they don't blow up the planet. They might find their characters in future comics, graphic novels, or podcasts. The Podcast - Liberty: Vigilance is an upcoming actual play of our first game in the AFTER system, with sharp editing, sound effects, and where every NPC's voice was replaced with a voice actor. Wayne June (Darkest Dungeon) is the game's GM and we have other voice actors from the Walking Dead, Borderlands, Space Ghost, and more, lend their voices to various NPC's.Social MediaIf you have any questions or suggestions for us, send an email to paperheroescast@gmail.com and let us know.Follow us on Facebook and Twitter :www.facebook.com/paperheroescastwww.twitter.com/paperheroescastPatreonFor just $5.00/month, less than the price of your Tuesday morning mocha-choco-loco-bullshit from Staryucks, you could get access to Pale Horse, an exclusive story, DM'd by Chris in a post-apocalyptic RPG that he designed. Season 3: Episode 2After dying and dying and dying and dying, the heroes finally got the hang of how to get away from the table and start moving down the road, following signs to "the Keep" or "castle" or "whatever" (as Casey likes to say). On their way, they run into, what could be Silent Hill, but probably not, because of copyright issues, so like a Quiet Speed-Bump... BUT really, they run into someone they never would have expected to see in this place...Who could it be!? Season 3: Episode 1It's been a long and difficult journey so far, but it's not over yet. The heroes step into the portal and are met with a strange and horrifying new world. A world where Helmar dies in the first five minutes, Aelon finds a juicy net, Roslyn laughs at Helmar's death, and Naraka starts going a little crazy in the head. What is this strange place? How will they ever get out? Where the fuck do they go from here? No, really, where the fuck do we go, Casey? Season 2: Episode 16It's the end of the season and nobody has died yet. In fact, nobody seems to have really been harmed this season, unless you count being turned into RoboCop, a Man-Bear-Panda, a sort-of-dead-but-not-really-but-still-kinda-but-not-completely undead panther, and whatever shadowy thing Aelon turned into being unharmed – which obviously I do.So what's going to happen to our fearless adventurers in this last episode of the Season 2? Will they find themselves in another world? What is going to happen to Naraka's siblings now that Naraka is not really part of House Orang anymore? Will anybody die? Probably not, but we can always cross our fingers that Helmar will do something selflessly stupid!Credits“Paper Heroes Theme Song" by Rob Conley & Casey KellyThanks to battlebards.com for use of amazing sound effects and music. Season 2: Episode 15Well well well, Adam Jensen, AKA Naraka Orang, is doing quite well for a horribly mangled surgically-altered Warforged abomination (sorry Naraka, but it's accurate) and Helmar is now a Furry (“OMG I never would have guessed” said nobody ever). So that's whats going on with those two. Oh, and Authenaric just got stabbed and might die, but you know, no biggie. Rozlynn and Aelon, are lost in the forest, hot on the trail of... something. They aren't quite sure what it is but damn are they sure they want to know! Will they find whatever it is? Will they have to answer riddles? Probably not, because those are hard to write!Credits“Paper Heroes Theme Song" by Rob Conley & Casey Kelly"Sleipnir" by The Ferenjiswww.soundcloud.com/federal-way/sleipnir-ft-trevor-fischerto hear more from The Ferenjis visit theferenjis.comThanks to battlebards.com for use of amazing sound effects and music. Season 2: Episode 14The Great Hitter in the Shitter is on and Neraka and Helmar are there to keep the splash-back to the minimum. Aelon and Roslynn found a clue that just might lead them to Magnus' magic sword, Antithesis. New (old) weapons, (new) old friends, and a fight in the sewer. Season 2: Episode 12Having fought off the worst thing that many of them could imagine (an undead clown in the sewer... Yes, that sounds like a movie we all just watched, but I swear this was recorded long before that damn movie made it seem like I stole a certain writer's admittedly amazing idea...), our heroes limped back through the slime of sewer. They have learned a lot, though none of them have any idea what much of it means. The difference between intelligence and wisdom I guess... Fortunately they are all due for some fabulous prizes in reward for learning random bits of information.Alright Johnny, tell us what fabulous prizes we have for our intrepid heroes...Credits“Paper Heroes Theme Song" by Rob Conley & Casey Kelly"Five Armies" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/"Milking The Spider Queen" by Ars Sonorhttp://freemusicarchive.org/music/Ars_Sonor/The_Unborn/"The Manhattan Project" by Rob Conley (Ginger Cat Productions)Thanks to battlebards.com for use of amazing sound effects and music. Season 2: Episode 11Covered in grave dust (or... choking on it in Rozlynn's case), our heroes decide to explore a recently vacated catacomb. They discover that some things are better left alone. Not the catacombs... but... things... you know what? It's really hard to be ominous when you're laughing because you know there is an evil clown up ahead and they all hate clowns - evil or otherwise. No, seriously. You trying being ominous and scary when you have a good schadenfreude induced chuckle going. You can't do it. It just doesn't work. So... uh... Season 2: Episode 6Last we heard from Kryten, he had disappeared in middle of the Temple of Kelemvor. Rather rude to just up and disappear from the people who were kind enough to save you from getting eaten... buuutttt, what can you expect from itinerant priest of Helm? Do you think there is a Kartegatt version of Miss Manners? Would Kryten read her column if there was one? Yeah, I don't think so either. Sounds like it's time Kryten had a come-to-Jesus... err.... Helmar, having been banned from the library because of the infamous Cheesey Brautwurst Incendent, hope that nobody who remembers is still alive. The group sets out, lead by the fearless and not-so-slightly intimidating Julia Domna, to find the Great Library of Kartegatt, hoping to find some books that might give them some kind of a heads-up on just what exactly is going on. If only they knew how to read...Credits“Paper Heroes Theme Song" by Rob Conley & Casey KellyThanks to battlebards.com for use of amazing sound effects and music. Season 2 Episode 3Well well well... our heroes finally learn a little bit about what they are up against. Not a lot, but, you know, more than they knew before. Which was nothing. So now they know next to nothing, which is still an improvement, if only barely. Suetonius waxes verbose, to the surprise and delight of no one and Helmar talks to ghosts (without the aid of shrooms). Nobody knows where Kryten is, and apparently Naraka doesn't trust the Sevillous family... for some reason. He trusts everybody else without reserve, so why he doesn't trust the people that saved his life, gave him a home, and fed him is... just... I quit trying to understand these guys long ago.Credits“Paper Heroes" by Rob Conley & Casey KellyThanks to battlebards.com for use of amazing sound effects and music. Season 2 Episode 2Saved at the last second by a mysterious group of people, our heroes must decide to follow them or not - which they do, rather quickly. It's good they did, because they are taken in by a group of survivors who will hopefully, finally be able to tell them just what in the tarnizzle is going on. Or they might be cannibals who are going to eat them. This is Festival of the Dead after all.Nahh... I wouldn't do that to you.Or would I?No. I wouldn't.Not unless it fit the story. In that case, tie on bib and prepare for some BBQ long pig!Credits“Paper Heroes" by Rob Conley & Casey KellyThanks to battlebards.com for use of amazing sound effects and music.
