There are so many off the record conversations between black officers and members of the community. They often lead to a greater relationship with the public. These conversations are rarely recorded or publicized. This episode is one of those conversations. It turns up the volume on the sounds of change, the sounds of respect, the sounds of community!
This is the first of many random episodes that will pop up from time to time that will cover whatever the host G. Michael needs to talk about to clear his head after a few tours of duty. The cycle of violence continues. G. Michael shares a few encounters with youth violence this week on the job.

On March 23, 2020. Daniel Prude, a 41-year-old Black man died in the hospital after an interaction with police days before. He was physically restrained by Rochester, New York, police officers. Prude had been suffering from a mental health episode after ingesting PCP and was walking naked in the city's streets. The host, G. Michael will add some real-time perspective from a black police professional with over 20 year’s experience in law enforcement.
Host G. Michael talks with a 12-year police veteran that joined policing as a way to deal with his own childhood trauma. Although he didn't grow up thinking to highly of police officers, he was determined to make a difference but it hasn't always been easy. Listen now!
Recent events have put a strain on police and community relations. Internal racial issues are nothing new for government law enforcement agencies but honor and professionalism usually prevail to carry out the mission.  Events like the attack on the US Capitol and the strong rhetoric and beliefs that motivated the attack are slowly eroding the trust and comradery behind the shield.
