No matter what a person's vessel of interest, whether it be MMA, Comedy, Music- there is always a philosophical mindset behind it. Thanatophobia is an extreme fear of death or the dying process. You might be scared of your own death or the death of a loved one. This is a level of anxiety that I, myself, have struggled with my entire life.In my opinon, its not the actual case of death that people fear as much as the unknown of what happens after we die.In this episode I invite back past podcast guests and friends Mike Richey of Charm City Paranomal and Psychic/Medium Jacque Hilbrich to discuss this topic and take a deep dive into odd experiences into the unknown.

There is no other sport that has evolved over the last 30 years the way that MMA has.In my personal opinion, the biggest evolutions have come in the last 5-10 of those years. It's an incredible rarity to have the opportunity to chat with someone who is still active, winning, and fighting like he's never missed a step after 20 years of time in the sport.Sean "P-Town" Wilson is that person. Based out of Omaha, NE Sean has fought for many promotions- including BKFC, and will be back in the octagon this Friday at Dynasty Combat Sports "New Years Knockouts" in Omaha, NE.
Rob Harvilla is the host / author of 60 Songs That Explain the '90s and a senior staff writer at The Ringer; he's been a professional rock critic for 20-plus years with stops at the Village Voice, SPIN, Deadspin, and various other alt-weeklies that generally no longer exist. Based out of Columbus, OH- he is one of my personal favorite podcasters and it was nothing short of a pleasure having him on the show.
Freddy D'Angelo is an artist hailing from the vibrant city of Saint Louis, Missouri. He's been incredibly fortunate to have lived a life full of exciting chapters and riveting plot twists. Starting off as a local rapper, he's had the opportunity to share stages and collaborate with renowned artists like Big Sean, Chris Stapleton, and Billy Idol. And just when you think the musical journey couldn't get any more thrilling, he transitioned into working with inspiring speakers such as Gary Vee, Tim Tebow, and Sara Blakely. His life, to say the least, has been nothing less than an exhilarating rollercoaster ride. And guess what? We've only just begun to scratch the surface!

Kevin Coffey is the host of Pops and Hisses, a music podcast featuring artist interviews with bands you love and opinions backed by decades as an award-winning music critic, podcaster, writer and photographer. If you have a favorite band, Kevin's probably talked to them. The Beatles and Best Coast; The Hold Steady and the Foo Fighters; The Pixies and Taylor Swift — they're just a few of the thousands of conversations he's had with Grammy-winning, platinum-selling, world-famous musicians as well as obscure, taste-making indie rockers. There used to be a certain joy to be the first one in the friend group to discover that cool new band, or great indie movie, and then share your find with all of your friends. It's been quite some time since I've been able to experience that joy- until recently... Hell House LLC came out in 2015 and is a documentary-found footage style of horror movie that is building quite the underground following. Since it's initial release, it has spawned 3 sequels (all found on Shudder) and is developing a fan base like none other. In this episode, I get the distinct pleasure to speak with the creator, writer, and director of the franchise- Stephen Cognetti. We learn about his process, who he is, and what may exist beyond the Abaddon Hotel or the Carmichael Manor. www.caughtonthemike.com
AEW's AUBREY EDWARDS

AEW's AUBREY EDWARDS

2023-11-0822:56

All Elite Wrestling (or AEW) formed in 2019, and has created a reckoning of competition in the professional wrestling industry. Driving a fresh sense of competition, steered by the talent and fans alike, the sheer presence of the organization has inspired a renaissance very akin to the "Monday Night Wars" of the late 90's. One of the things that separates AEW from the pack is the convergence of interests and other professions that make up the talent set in that organization. Musicians, dentists, stand up comics, and even video game developers.... Joining me on the pod today is one of those talents- Aubrey Edwards- you may know her as the ref from "Dynamite," but she is also AEW's resident podcaster, project manager, and game developer as well. We have a great chat, get a little insight to her journey, and even share a funny story on how we connected.www.caughtonthemike.com
