On July 3, 2020, Cabugao Municipal Police Station filed murder cases before the Ilocos Sur Provincial Prosecutor against two of their colleagues in the ambush of Fabel Pineda, a 15-year-old girl who filed acts of lasciviousness against one of the suspects. Philippine National Police Chief Archie Gamboa said he wants the stiffest penalty for the two cops, identified as Police Staff Sergeant Randy Ramos and Police Staff Sergeant Marawi Torda, who are both assigned at the San Juan Municipal Police Station in Ilocos Sur and now under restrictive custody at the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office in Bantay town while awaiting further disposition by the court. A young woman was killed for attempting to report sexual harassment claims against two rogue police officers. Her cousin, who was also sexually assaulted, is currently being protected by the National Bureau of Investigation. On June 27, 2020, two teenage girls from a far-flung town located in the province of Ilocos Sur, went to a party at a friend’s house at night amid the COVID-19 pandemic that forced the Philippine government to impose a community quarantine in the entire country. They were picked up by two police staff sergeants at 1 o'clock in the morning the following day for violating curfew despite being inside the residence of their friend. Jaybee Sebastian pleaded guilty in arraignment for charges of conspiring with De Lima and five others to drug trade at the NBP compound during the legislator’s term as justice secretary. De Lima, meanwhile, was not surprised with the move saying Sebastian has been pressured by Duterte's operators to falsely testify against her in exchange for his and his family's safety. With these reforms for prisoners, the National Bilibid Prison has reported that over 17,000 inmates have agreed to renounce their gang affiliations which gradually dismantles the gang system that has thrived in the national penitentiary for decades. As the Philippines is currently trying its best to survive COVID-19, the pandemic took nine inmates, including one of the most infamous and notorious criminals in the country. On July 18, 2020, Jaybee Sebastian, a critical witness that led to Senator De Lima's imprisonment and a high-profile inmate at the New Bilibid Prison, died due to complications caused by the coronavirus. He was cremated on July 19, 2020. However, many speculate that there is more about the surprising death of Jaybee Sebastian. On a Sunday afternoon on December 20, 2020, from what it seems that the world has had enough bad news since the start of the year, another tragedy adds to its list. A rogue police officer in civilian clothes shot and killed a mother and son in front of his 13-year-old daughter after an altercation involving the younger victim improvising "boga," a cannon usually made of bamboo or tin cans used to make noise during New Year celebrations. The shooting incident happened in Paniqui, Tarlac, 152 kilometers north of the nation's capital. / The killing of 52-year-old Sonya Gregorio and her son, 25-year-old Frank Gregorio, was captured on video by Alyssa Calosing, the older victim's granddaughter. The footage has gone viral on social media since it was posted. During the latter parts of the parricide charges against Ruben Ecleo, the case became more complicated than it has already been. In what was considered a twist of events, a 32-year-old man claimed it was not cult leader Ruben Ecleo Jr. who killed and dumped his wife, Alona Bacolod, but claimed that Alona's brother did it.  SOURCES: https://www.phmurderstories.com/alona-bacolod-ecleo-case.html  WEBSITE  ▸ https://phmurderstories.com        PODCAST  ▸ Spotify — https://spoti.fi/3iz2YI3     ▸ Apple — https://apple.co/2GmarNN     SOCIALS  ▸ Facebook — https://bit.ly/33xXEAm     ▸ Instagram — https://bit.ly/33BL03r    ▸ Tiktok — https://bit.ly/2F4a8pY    ▸ Twitter — https://bit.ly/3no4jFq    SUPPORT US ON PATREON  ▸ https://bit.ly/3iNyiD0   DO YOU LIKE OUR PODCAST? On the evening of December 24, 2019, millions of Filipino families celebrated the annual "Noche Buena," or the night, and the feast, before Christmas Day. It was a feast where most people would consume delicious delicacies such as ham, queso de bola, hot chocolate, and other known Filipino cuisines in anticipation of the annual Christian festival celebrating Christ's birth. Unfortunately, a family residing in Barangay Tangos-North, Navotas City, welcomed Christmas Day with the tragic loss of a man who was helplessly shot to death in front of his wife by unknown assailants. Eighteen years ago, a young woman's decomposing body was found stuffed in a black garbage bag and thrown down a ravine located in a town called Dalaguete, in the province of Cebu. Four days before the body was found, two siblings named Ben and Josebil Bacolod filed a missing person's report to the police about their sister's whereabouts. The police identified the decomposing body as Alona Bacolod-Ecleo.  SOURCES: https://www.phmurderstories.com/alona-bacolod-ecleo-case.html  WEBSITE  ▸ https://phmurderstories.com       PODCAST  ▸ Spotify — https://spoti.fi/3iz2YI3    ▸ Apple — https://apple.co/2GmarNN    SOCIALS  ▸ Facebook — https://bit.ly/33xXEAm    ▸ Instagram — https://bit.ly/33BL03r    ▸ Tiktok — https://bit.ly/2F4a8pY    ▸ Twitter — https://bit.ly/3no4jFq    SUPPORT US ON PATREON  ▸ https://bit.ly/3iNyiD0   DO YOU LIKE OUR PODCAST? In a bid to fix diplomatic relations, President Duterte apologized to South Korea during a meeting with potential investors on January 26, 2017. Surprisingly, the case took an unfortunate turn of events when Judge Buan granted bail for Rafael Dumlao, citing the lack of evidence. The alleged mastermind of the Jee-Ick Joo kidnap-murder case was allowed to post bail worth 300,000 pesos for each of the three cases filed against him. During the same time, the court denied the bail petitions of his co-accused Sta. Isabel and Omlang. While Jee Ick-Joo suffers his grievous fate in the hands of those who pledged “to serve and protect”, the Chief of the Philippine National Police Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa, who was busy joining around 450 business personalities and nearly half a hundred political allies, serves as a junket of President Rodrigo Duterte in his travel to Beijing, China. Jee Ick-Joo is known as the victim of a gruesome murder from law enforcers who took advantage of the controversial war on drugs to extort businessmen that provide for their families. But this story does not end here. For his employees who fondly called him "tatang", he is a boss who gave opportunities to his people. The kidnap and murder of Jee-Ick Joo at the hands of the Philippine National Police are among the most significant controversies to hit in the country during President Duterte's controversial War on Drugs. Jee-Ick Joo, a South Korean businessman, and Marisa Morquicho, the house helper, was abducted together with Jee's Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) from his home in Friendship Plaza Subdivision, Angeles City, Pampanga, on October 18, 2016. On the same day, he was brought to Camp Crame, where he was strangled to death, cremated in a funeral parlor, and was flushed down the toilet by alleged policemen.
