Jody Sperling has created more than 50 works. She is considered the world’s leading exponent of the style of early modern dancer and performance technologist Loïe Fuller (1862-1928). Sperling has expanded Fuller’s genre into the 21st century, deploying it in the context of contemporary and environmental performance forms. She is currently Eco-Artist-in-Residence at The New York Society for Ethical Culture. The podcast returns with an episode recorded on location, at the home of Roger Berle, a resident of Cliff Island, Maine. Roger is the founder of ACE, a non-profit conservation group, and was involved in the making of "The Whales of August", a feature film that was made on the island in the 1980s (starring Betty Davis, Lillian Gish, Vincent Price, and many others). This is a special announcement to explain why there haven't been many episodes this season. There's a very good reason!

This episode was recorded in autumn of 2022 (10/26/2022), but was held up due to scheduling difficulties. Recorded on location at a music school in Edison, New Jersey, composer and music artist, Lyndol Descant, returns in her second appearance on the podcast. Lyndol composed the music scores for two of Eric's films: DEATH & LIFE and FRACTALS. In this episode they talk about the difficulties of making it in the music industry, publishing, and film. They wax poetic on the nature of art, and proceed to have a jam session around the song, "No Sense", which the Fractals score is based on. Lyndol explores how she adapted the song, and converted it into a music score.
