My soul thrills whenever I think about the coming Pretribulation Rapture of the Church, and what a glorious moment that shall be. But when I think about what life will be like for those left behind, it becomes heartbreaking to contemplate. Imagine people’s very souls drying up because there won’t be any nourishment from the Bible to feed them, and worse, there won’t even be the chance that they will somehow “figure it out”. Recently we have watched some horrific events unfold in the news, gruesome scenes where people died, where people were killed by other people, and then we saw the unspeakable take place. Danish troops must open fire, even without direct orders, if invaders try to capture Greenland by force, Denmark’s Defense Ministry said as the US weighs military action to annex the land. The ministry confirmed Wednesday that soldiers are required to uphold a Cold War-era rule to “immediately take up the fight” against any foreign force threatening Danish territory, local Berlingske reported. When President Trump ordered a military operation into Venezuela that captured Nicolás Maduro and flew him to New York, he crossed a line that America has talked around for decades but rarely states out loud in plain English: we removed the ruler, and we intend to manage the aftermath. Bible students love to go to the book of the prophet Daniel to read about the end times and Antichrist, and I do agree, that’s one of the most exciting books of the Bible. For sure. But what many Christians often overlook is Daniel’s great prayer we see there in chapter 9, and contained in that prayer is a God-approved framework for Christians here in the 21st century. To me, this completely sets the tone for what we might expect to see in 2026. Elon Musk says 2026 will be the year that his Neuralink brain chips really take off, and Islam is positioned for a level of control this country has never seen before. In the movie ‘Civil War’ that shows a 21st century America ripped apart by insurgents and ideology, we watch as a militia soldier interrogates a group of Liberal journalists, asking each of them one-by-one a question. “What kind of American are you?”, he says. The reply comes back “American”. The soldier then asks “What kind of American?” The entire movie is a fairly mediocre melodrama with the exception of that one scene, that nailed it. What kind of American are you?
