Family on a Mission Lyndon & Angela Reiff Following Jesus means saying yes without knowing the whole story, trusting Him through both joy and hardship. The same is true for us as a church family: as God brings growth, we are called to grow with it. Growth can be noisy and uncomfortable, but we make room, welcome people with the love of Jesus, and each play our part. We are not simply a family that gathers, but a family on a mission - called to keep saying yes, make room for others, and build something that blesses generations to come.
Kingdom of God Series - The Upside Down Kingdom Lyndon Reiff The Kingdom of God is an upside-down kingdom that challenges our assumptions about power, success, blessing, and authority. Jesus declares that the poor, meek, mourning, merciful, and persecuted are blessed, completely redefining what it means to live under God’s rule. Jesus doesn’t simply teach this way of life - He embodies it by humbling Himself, becoming a servant, loving His enemies, and dying on the cross. What appeared to be defeat became victory, and what looked like death became new life. Like the mystery of a Tarte Tatin transformed beneath its covering and heat, God can be at work even when we cannot see what He is doing. The Kingdom reminds us that God is present in the heat, darkness, disappointment, and uncertainty of life, faithfully working toward something beautiful. We are invited to trust Him, embrace His upside-down way of living, and partner with Him in bringing His Kingdom into the world.
Kingdom of God Series - The Heavenly Conundrum Niall Presland-White Jesus calls us to seek first the Kingdom of God, storing our treasures in heaven while faithfully living the life we have been given today. Heaven is not simply an escape from this broken world, but the fullness of God’s Kingdom - creation restored, resurrection life, and being fully with Jesus. Because of this hope, we can hold the tension between enjoying God’s Kingdom now and looking forward to its fullness to come. We are saved by Jesus, not by our works, but our faithful actions - giving, serving, loving, forgiving, welcoming, encouraging, and using what God has given us - are opportunities to participate in His Kingdom and store treasures in heaven. And we do not do this alone: Jesus is actively at work now as our mediator, advocate, intercessor, and great High Priest. As we seek first the Kingdom, we can live with greater freedom, purpose, and hope, knowing that Jesus has gone before us and is preparing us for the fullness that is still to come.
Kingdom of God Series - The Seed and the Harvest Dan Sheed The Kingdom of God is already here, yet it is not here in its fullness—the seed has been sown, but the harvest is still to come. Jesus’ parable reminds us that God’s Kingdom often grows in ways we cannot see, understand, or control. We are called to faithfully sow through prayer, love, forgiveness, generosity, justice, and sharing the good news, while trusting God with the growth. The “already and not yet” means we can expect God to act while also making room for suffering, unanswered prayers, and seasons when His work seems hidden. Our hope is that the seed will ultimately become a harvest when Jesus brings all things to completion. The Kingdom is here, the seed is in the ground, and we are called to faithfully sow and live with hope.
Kingdom of God Series - Everyone Gets to Play Sheralyn Cotton The Kingdom of God is scandalous because it turns our expectations of who is worthy, how we should live, and what God’s kingdom should look like completely upside down. Jesus chooses ordinary, unlikely, and imperfect people to represent Him, reminding us that there is nothing we have done or could do that makes us unworthy of being chosen. Everyone gets to play, because the Kingdom is not built around our talents, achievements, or perfection—it is built around saying yes to Jesus. And as people who have received that invitation, we are sent to share the good news with humility, dependence, authenticity, peace, and community. The Kingdom calls us to step beyond religious rules and self-sufficiency, to meet people where they are, and to become people who make God’s love accessible. The Kingdom of God is near, and we are invited not only to receive it, but to carry it to others.
