In this Vanishing series message, Dom Gibson looks at Ecclesiastes 2:1–11 and the Preacher’s search for meaning through pleasure, possessions, and achievements. Despite having freedom and resources, the Preacher finds that none of it offers lasting satisfaction or purpose. He explains how pursuing pleasure and success as ends in themselves is empty. Ecclesiastes shows the limits of worldly offerings and urges us to consider where we seek meaning and fulfillment. When desires become our focus, even good things can leave us empty. The message reminds us that life's true purpose isn’t found in ourselves or our accomplishments, but in God. It encourages us to look beyond temporary pleasures and find deeper satisfaction in knowing and trusting our Creator.Series: VanishingScripture: Ecclesiastes 2:1–11Speaker: Dom GibsonSubscribe for weekly sermons and biblical teaching from Grant Church.#Ecclesiastes #Vanishing #DomGibson #BibleTeaching #MeaningOfLife #Purpose #ChristianFaith #BiblicalWisdom #Solomon #GrantChurch #FindingMeaningWatch the complete service: https://www.youtube.com/live/wWc6zwfjGq0?si=evD0cZtJMk6dax_vWe would love to hear from you!Instagram: @grantchurch.caFacebook: grantchurch.caEngage on our website: https://www.grantchurch.ca
Cam Stephens explores Ecclesiastes 1:12–18 and the Preacher’s pursuit of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. While wisdom and education can be valuable gifts, Ecclesiastes reveals the danger of pursuing them as ends in themselves, without recognizing the God who gives them and the limits of human understanding.Cam unpacks the tension between pursuing wisdom and living in a broken world. The more the Preacher discovers, the more he recognizes the burdens and limitations of human knowledge. This passage challenges us to consider whether our pursuit of education, wisdom, and knowledge ultimately leads us toward God or becomes another way of finding meaning apart from Him.As we continue through Ecclesiastes, we are reminded that knowledge alone cannot provide the lasting purpose we seek. True wisdom begins by recognizing God as the source of all things and looking beyond what we can understand to the One who holds our lives and our world in His hands.Series: VanishingScripture: Ecclesiastes 1:12–18Speaker: Cam StephensSubscribe for weekly sermons and biblical teaching from Grant Church.#Ecclesiastes #Vanishing #CamStephens #BibleTeaching #BiblicalWisdom #Wisdom #Knowledge #MeaningOfLife #Solomon #GrantChurch #ChristianFaithWatch the complete service: https://www.youtube.com/live/27VhL1bhCmc?si=hQFGsKPhh15qP2_WWe would love to hear from you!Instagram: @grantchurch.caFacebook: grantchurch.caEngage on our website: https://www.grantchurch.ca
