In Volume 9 of “Market or Pitch,” Corey and Yesenia celebrate Black History Month by dedicating the entire episode to all things impacting the Black community in the Advertising, Marketing, and PR industries. We took on some of the biggest news headlines impacting the community including Mcdonald's unique tactic to increase the diversity of their senior leadership team and how Etsy is taking diversity seriously within their company. We also discussed Pepsi’s important decision to change the Aunt Jemima name to Pearl Milling Company and how clients can build authentic relationships with Black consumers. Finally, we end things by celebrating Thomas J. Burrell who is a Black pioneer in the advertising sector.
