Welcome to The Bunker List.
The Bunker List is a new topical podcast, where each week our guests open up about their favourite things.
Imagine that you have to be evacuated into an emergency bunker for an extended period of time, what would you take with you and why?
This bunker is well equipped. The bunker has off-grid water and electricity and is well stocked with food and water rations to last you 2 years. In addition, it has an aquaponic garden for fresh fish, fruit and vegetables. All medicine and toiletries are well-stocked. It has a gym to keep you physically fit, a large rumpus room to keep you entertained, and a battery-powered radio to listen out for emergency broadcasts. All immediate family members and pets will be joining you inside the bunker.
What we would like to know is: which 5 luxury items would you like to take with you, to keep you motivated and sane and why?
These luxury items can be of sentimental value or for practical purposes. What are the stories behind each item?
What is in it for the guests? A chance to show their vulnerability and human sides. The show promises value for the listener through good storytelling.
Anything else do I need to prepare for? In addition to the five luxury items, the guests will be asked to share:
- Which TV series would you like to binge-watch over and over again in the bunker and why?
- Which Movie or Movie Boxset would you like to watch over and over again in the bunker and why?
- Which albums, audiobooks or podcasts would you like to listen to and why?
- Which three celebrities, living or dead would make your ideal bunker buddies?
- If you have to leave in a hurry, what item would you grab and why?
We will also ask our guests where in the world is this bunker is located? Is it above ground, remote or underground?

About Andre - A lateral thinker with a mischievous sense of humour André is renowned for thinking outside of the box and producing magical moments using nothing but the spoken word.
Easy: The maverick of the bunch having honed his comedy alongside the likes of Richard Blackwood, John Simmit, Junior Simpson, Aymer & Powell, Geoff Schumann, Leo Chester, etc. Easy took a sabbatical to do other things but was drawn back to being a funster while doing shows at the Edinburgh Festival. He can at times be raw, refined, and positively delightful in parts. But what you hear is what you get, quick wit, banter with passion
And oh yes my co-host Shaz, makes a reappearance, fresh from cleaning out the velociraptor tank!

Today's Evacuee is Jeff Macolino from St Petersburg Florida. That's right we have a Florida Man!

In January 2020, Jeff came close to committing suicide. When he had stabilized somewhat mentally, he realised one thing to work his way out of my boring 8 to 5 job and into the world of comedy. Over the past year Jeff has been working on a couple of dark comedy screenplays as well as a dark comedy sitcom.
Upon advice of some other respected comedians, Jeff started doing open mics and my own podcast. Now, just having turned 34, I am basically a dinosaur for someone just starting in this industry.
Jeff is divorced dad of two children (11 and 8). I Lives quite a diverse life, half the time being the best dad I can be in half the time partying or working on his comedy.
Oh he plays a pretty mean Mario Kart as well!

Most of our guests move into a hypothetical emergency bunker as part of the Bunker List game. Today's guest Vanja Beric, vulnerability life coach from Perth Western Australia. Acutally lived through the experience.
Born in Bosnia, and fled the civil war following the break up during the collapse of the former Yugoslavia. Vanja and her family came to Australia with very little, and had family members imprisoned because they are Serbs.
What today's episode promises is a more inspirational journey to make you realise how lucky we are to live in a fortunate place.
