802 - A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
Jim and A.Ron get sentimental over the very nostalgic episode of Game of Thrones, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”. Given the way this episode ends, this might be the last bit of sweetness and light many of these characters receive. Gulp. Dany is having trouble sharing power, Tyrion struggles to get his mojo back, Arya is looking for love in all the right places, and then damn near the entire gang gets together for an extremely fun, extremely heartwarming fireside chat. Next week the dead will be here; we’ll enjoy these final moments with our favorite characters while we still can.If you can’t get enough Thrones content, may I humbly suggest Gods of Thrones, a book series I co-wrote with a religious scholar on the cults, customs, and characters of A Song of Ice and Fire. Volume one and volume two  are now available in paperback and e-book formats at Amazon! He might be prone to brooding and in fact Know Nothing, but he’s still our KING IN DA NORF WARDEN OF DA NORFFF!!! 801 - Winterfell
Jim and A.Ron are here to break down all the action from this week’s premiere episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones, “Winterfell”. And indeed the ancestral home of House Stark houses the direwolf’s share of the action and intrigue, as characters are reunited, dragons are flown, and divisions within the forces of the Living threaten to undermine the war against the Dead. It’s clear that sharing power and cooperating is going to be a challenge, not only for Jon and Dany, but for the many different peoples who have thrown in their lot with them. We’ll be back Friday for our SpoiLORE edition that delves into the background details of the World of Ice and Fire as well as mines for hidden details that may yet remain in the source books! You can get 25% off all annual memberships to Club Bald Move from now until May 7th!A.Ron wrote two books on Game of Thrones religions and culture! They’re fun and informative, and feature amazing exclusive Thrones inspired artwork! We also have exclusive “House Snow” enamel pins and matching t-shirts if you’d like to show your allegiance to the once and future king! This podcast is sponsored by eero, because life is too short for bad wifi. I think Jamie is going to die in the Vanguard with Brianne. He bites it, and then Brianne has to put him down. Making it truly emotional giving who they are and how much they care about each other but also because that's the man who knighted her. Another theory is that Brienne goes down and Podrick gets knighted by Brianne before she dies but Podrick has to kill her so she doesn't come back as a white. People who bite it: Jaime, Brianne, Theon, Greyworm, Jorah, Berrick and Ed. I want to be wrong but alot of these people have ran their course.

Dude, these two guys talking seem clueless a out the actual history of the characters... why was it emotional for Sansa to see Theon? because they escaped together from the Bolton after they were both abused and they grew up together and he's cockless which poses zero threat to a woman that has been raped and abused.

"I don't understand why they don't have episode titles" pretty obvious really, they want people to go into it blind and titles tend to lead to speculation

Gendry did look like he showered before that scene. And, every moment is an emotional moment for Sansa, lol. I think Brienne is in love with Jamie. Daenerys seemed pissed to find out that Jon is also a Targaryen, because it means she's been misbehaving, trying to get people to "bend the knee."

These guys aren't near as good as the Oysters, Clams, and Cockles guys.. After listening to the OCC podcast this podcast just isn't entertaining at all..

Spencer Rogers Being more well rounded as people, I think it's more entertaining than some other GOT podcasts. If you're looking for over the top deep dives every week, do your own reading.

Spencer Rogers Objectively false, with about a hundred episodes on this same feed for anyone clever enough to mash buttons on a phone to prove it. If you disagree with their assessment, great, but the willfully ignorant attacks on the credibility of the hosts is dirty politics.

why would Rhaegar's annulment affect Dany's parentage? Dany is Rhaegar's brother, not daughter.

Tyler Skidmore

Rhaegar is Dany's brother not her father. His annulment would have no effect on Daenerys whatsoever

I had talked about this in season 6 but do you think Bran can can go back in time and change little things like give people dreams or even take over their bodies to control them to do things like bran the builder built so many things over a long time rang.i think it will end with night king will win and bran will be the only one still alive then it will cut away and it will show bran marking on a large tree and he moves and it shows a hundred Mark's on the tree and it starts over and he tries to beat the night king once again.

I thought ep 1 got off to the right start. I hope that Jon finding out he is related to Daenerys utterly ends their relationship. I can't wait to see how this unfolds.

I enjoyed the episode. I don't feel like anything was necessarily rushed. Most of the reunions were in good timing. I'm excited to see what happens next.

Take into account that the last two or three episodes are supposed to be much longer than this one was and it's supposed to be a shorter season than the rest. If the books weren't so expensive, because of high demand, I'd rather read those. Case-in-point: I read The Shining, but, to this day, have never seen the movie.

I loved the "resting bitch faces" Daenerys and Sansa were giving each other, lol. I wonder if Jamie was surprised to see Bran, when he arrived at Winterfell, because, maybe he was the one who paid the cutthroat to kill him...
