It was a day as ordinary as any other. Luke was taking a leisurely stroll to the shops when he began to feel the strangest of sensations. He felt time beginning to slow down. He experienced a feeling of entering a parallel universe, a place where reality no longer existed. He was fighting a battle against his own sense of truth, a truth he had known for years. The cause of these feelings was a car he had just witnessed of a very specific model. The colour was the same, as were the wheels and trim. Luke craned his neck in order to see the number plate. Would that be the same too? Could it be that the person he had thought he had lost forever had returned?Today we focus on the powerful impact of grief, how it can affect us, and what men can do to process these intense feelings.Alex Melia, and the Stories of Men team are on a mission to uncover what it means to live an independent and meaningful life. Had Matt misjudged his need to keep his authentic self hidden? David was exploring the world while scaling the heady heights of multi-sports journalism. In only his second “proper job” post-university, he found himself unexpectedly appointed editor of a new magazine specialising in all-terrain vehicles. The problem was, however, that he was feeling highly uncomfortable. He couldn’t see the terrain well enough to feel safe and, the longer the ride continued,  the more vulnerable he began to feel. What was it that underlay the vision problems that David was experiencing? This episode actually makes me wanna kill myself. I know everyone get something that'd be hard for them and all but in my case mundane life isn't what's made me think about suicide over and over, and so, someone who just understands me IS NOT GOING TO HELP ME to want to live. When this gets me the only thing that stops me from doing it is my curiosity cause the only reason i wanna do it is the questions nobody could answer. Why am i even here in the first place when i'm gonna die anyway? He said he thought oh i don't seem to wanna die. Well i know why.. cause his problem wasn't big enough for a solution like death. He wasn't interested in dying cause it's not what's gonna happen at the end?!
