Today’s young ladies are carrying heavier emotional weights than ever before. Recent national surveys show that girls’ confidence has dropped significantly over the past few years, and more than half of teen girls report feeling persistent sadness or hopelessness. Many are also struggling with anxiety, body image pressures, and the constant comparison that comes with social media. These aren’t just numbers — they’re signals. Signals that our girls need guidance, encouragement, and spaces where their voices matter. In today’s episode, I am visiting with Lynette Williams on building confidence and self-esteem.
Today’s conversation is all about raising well-rounded young ladies. Research shows that while academics matter, success in life is also deeply influenced by what happens beyond the classroom. Activities like spiritual development, service, and hands-on life skills play a powerful role in shaping confident, grounded young women.Megan, we’re excited to learn more about your family and how you’ve intentionally created opportunities for your daughters to grow spiritually, serve others, and develop life skills that will carry them into adulthood.
Today’s episode follows the inspiring journey of Savanhah — a 24-year-old married student, a devoted mom to a one-year-old son, and a proud first-generation college student. Her path wasn’t straightforward. After graduating high school unsure of what she really wanted to do, she stepped into the workforce for six to seven months. But it didn’t take long for her to recognize something important: to create the future she envisioned for herself and her family, she needed stronger skills and more opportunities. So Savanhah made a brave decision. She returned to college.

Balancing a part- time job, navigating online learning, and figuring out whether 8-week or 16-week courses best fit her life, she learned to study smarter, manage her time with intention, and advocate for her own success.
Tune in to meet Erica. Erica is a wife, a mother, and someone who refused to let her past define her future. After earning her GED, she made a bold decision—one that many dream of but few are brave enough to follow: she’s returning to college to build a better life for herself and her family. Her journey reminds us that it’s never too late to dream again… never too late to start over… and never too late to step into the woman God created you to be.Listen to Erica’s comeback story—and a reminder that yours can start today.
