On March 28, 2019, Tom's spouse called 911 during a verbal argument listening to his three children crying out saying daddy please don’t go still haunts him to this day. His life was turned upside down. After having the temporary restraining order dropped in April 2019, four days later, Tom was arrested in the driveway was home for assault with weapons and possession of high-capacity magazines from inherited firearms from his father. Matt Stanislao just wanted to be a cop. His father warned him, and after serving 27 years himself, he knew exactly what the problems Matt would face, which had nothing to do with the public or criminals. After two wrongful terminations rooted in discrimination for being gay, Matt fought back and won. However, he’s not the same officer or the same person. In his near 3 year separation from the police department, he was accepted into Columbia University to earn a Masters in advanced clinical social work. After graduating and passing the Boards, he is now also a licensed social worker and chairs the Bergen County Board of a Mental Health. His workshops and film shorts reduce the stigma of asking for help and shows officers that psychotherapy isn’t just for those with mental illness, arguably more for those that are suffering in silence. Advancedmediaproductionsllc.comThese are my recent film shorts I use in my workshops. https://youtu.be/32ColLYsF4Qhttps://youtu.be/cHFYNGJpD0chttps://youtu.be/0HBekto4yuMFind The Suffering PodcastThe Suffering Podcast InstagramKevin Donaldson InstagramMike Failace InstagramBuzzsproutApple PodcastSpotifyFacebookTikTokYouTubeThe Suffering Podcast FamilyDented Development ProjectToyota of HackensackBella Dama CigarsSupport the showThe Suffering Podcast Instagram Kevin Donaldson Instagram TikTok YouTube
