With Pride, the purple flame demon, defeated and the Starboy corpse, jewel of the desert, in hand The Buddies are finally free to return to the library and have their geasses removed. Or so they thought. Tune in to hear the final confrontation that wraps up Jeht's arc! And look forward to hearing the start of Stephen's arc in the next episode!
After learning of Cholk's twisted history the purple demon Pride, otherwise referred to as the thirsty man, offers the buddies the jewel of the desert in exchange for them not interfering with the Cholk's dark fate. However, out of some new found sense of heroic duty (or more likely stupidity) the buddies choose to duke it out with Pride. Toon in to join them in their epic struggle against their first jellybean ranked foe.
The buddies are spirited away to a most unusual purple void where they encounter a peculiar crystalline figure wearing a smiling Thalia mask. After a brief struggle the figure eventually guides the buddies to stage where The Lord of Pride forces them to perform the cruel history of his rise to power. However, the buddies soon discover that this is no normal stage performance and that they'll have to fight to make it through the play alive.
The Buddies finally encounter the mysterious star masked figure outside of the temple of eclipse. After awaking from his slumber he cast a spell on the moon to bathe the land in a permanent purple hue. He then gives The Buddies an opportunity to claim the jewel they were sent to find inside the temple. But first they must work together to solve the temple's puzzle.
The Buddies, guided by the armed snake person Morchezza, finally arrive at the temple of the eclipse. Upon arriving they are surprised to discover that the temple is overrun with scholars, archeologists and a variety of other members of the scientific community. In order to claim the promised jewel for themselves when the eclipse opens the temple, The Buddies devise a clever ruse to lure the others out into the desert. Tune in to learn how their plan unfolds!
After marooning their guide Blobby in a remote region of the desert, The Buddies are faced with the challenge of navigating their way to the Temple of the Eclipse themselves. On their way to the temple The Buddies pause at an archeological dig site to search for clues. There they discover a peculiar human-armed snake person screaming out for help. Brave heroes that they are they attempt to succor the snake and in doing so incur the wrath of the Id Beast.
The Buddies find themselves divided when Harold and Garrett are trapped in a dream encounter, leaving Max to defend their sleeping bodies from the razor sharp crystalline claws of a purple wraith. In order to wake up Harold and Garrett have to use the power of their combined imaginations to lucid dream their way into the librarians book where a shadowy figure awaits. Tune in to learn how both of these encounters unravel!
After escaping the splintery clutches of the Sandits and maneuvering through the treacherous terrain of the fear scorpion fields the buddies finally arrive at a temple of the sun... Just not the one they were hoping for. Unbeknownst to the buddies, Blobby was diverting them away from their main quest to run some graverobbing errands. Errands that takes a dangerous turn when the threat of purple wraiths lurking in the shadows is revealed.
The Buddies, along with their gooey guide Blobby venture out into the black sands to seek out of the Church of the Sun in the vast desert of Cholt. After a night of restless slumber aboard Blobby's sand-worm vessel the buddies awake to a group of sand bandits in hot pursuit. A fierce confrontation commences and the buddies live up to their battling name as they easily vanquish their assailants and even convince them to give up their criminal ways. Tune in to join them on their thrilling, sandit and fear-scorpion riddled ride through the desert!
1The Dungeon Master's belt, pipe and hat has been handed over to Jeht and the Buddies assume the roles of another batch of novice adventurers from the guild going on another epic adventure in this episode! Join them as they drink, cavort and laugh their way to the ancient obsidian city of Cholk to track down a guide brazen enough to lead them through the vast black sands of the desert of Cholt.
The Buddies stumble into a moral quandary where they are forced to choose between helping a defenseless star child or betraying their beloved Professor Dadbury. Their decision kicks off an epic battle that only grows more chaotic as the fight goes on. Tune in to listen to the action packed conclusion to Cody's arc in this adventure!
The Buddies take a break from their main adventure to compete against each other at being the best possible John. Err rather the best possible ghost processing a poor man named John. Tune in to listen to the Buddies in their ghost forms try to accomplish their unfinished business by skin-riding a poor nobody named John.
It was a double cross! Who would have expected that the friendly bat-man Steve would betray The Buddies and lure them to be devoured by an ancient cave dwelling crab! Fortunately The Buddies manage to escape their crustaceous foe and finally find the much coveted crash site. Only they aren't the only one's who found it...
The buddies begin the episode fearing for the lives as they find themselves deep within Steve's bat cave. However they soon discover that Steve and his fellow bats are actually pretty chill. Steve even leads them to a super relaxing sauna to allow them to rest and heal up before embarking on the final leg of their journey to the crash site. Or so it seems...
After successfully infiltrating the Dwarf King's party and solving the age old debate between fire and ice the buddies enter The Old Mad King's Puzzle chambers. There they put their wits and their teamwork to the test as they fight to survive the deadly puzzles found within. After struggling their way through two of the puzzles and losing a torso or two along the way, the buddies encounter a curious bat-man named Steve who has promised to lead them through a shortcut to the crash site. Or so they think...
Now that the buddies have successfully charmed the mighty Cold Wizard into inviting them along as some of his plus ones they can finally enter the much sought after and highly exclusive dwarven party. OooooOooooh. SO PUT YOUR PARTY PANTS ON CAUSE IT'S TIME TO GET DOWN! And make sure your party pants are warm cause the buddies and the Cold Wizard are about to make it cold up in here.
The Buddies arrive at the entry hall to the mountain kingdom only to find it locked and guarded with no way in. Fortunately they discover that with the help of a mysterious figure known as the cold wizard they might be able to gain entry and continue their quest. So they embark up the mountain to seek out this cold wizard. However, this isn't your average casual mountain jaunt. Their path up the mountain is rife with peril around every corner. Listen and join the buddies as they conquer the mountain and win over the cold wizard!
Our new heroes are pulled out of their important orientation lessons and sent on their first quest! Their objective is to escort an expert in cosmic events to the crash site of an unknown object that fell from space into the nearby mountains. However these mountains are the territory of a Dwarven kingdom that's known for its puzzles and tricks and the buddies must solve one such puzzle to enter the kingdom and beseech the Dwarven king to allow them to inspect the crash site.
A bright eyed and bushy tailed batch of new potential heroes endeavor to join The Battle Buddies! The greatest guild of all time! Or at least according to their marketing material it is. But before our new heroes can proudly sport their official guild pins they must pass the trials and earn their places in the guild.
