Today's guest, Nicholas Candelaria, is a UC Berkeley alumn with a bachelors of arts degree in Data Science. He is one of the most compassionate and caring people I know. Not only to others but to our environment and the world around us. He truly lives by the motto of "being the change you want to see in the world." He has been vegan for 5 years and cares for his body like a temple. Nick has been an extended practitioner of yoga and meditation, and other spiritual practices to remain in tune with his inner self. 🌱
Why focus on improving your mornings? Why not evenings? Well, because how you start your day often dictates the rest of your day. How you wake up sets the tempo and tone for the rest of your day. How do you currently wake up? Do you slide out of bed and check social media, or do you wake up with a purpose ready to take action? If you start chaotic, then your day will tend to be the same way. If your days tend to be chaotic, then your weeks will be chaotic. Then your months will seem chaotic.
One of the best things you can do for yourself is to invest in yourself and your future. We must invest in ourselves as much as we can today, because of the compounding effects this can have on your life. That investment could be your time or your money. The more you do now, the more it will benefit you for many years to come. I've learned that you really don't see any results until some later point in the future when you invest in yourself. Investing in yourself is kind of like planting a tree. You're not going to see a tree grow overnight. What happens is that once you plant the seed, the roots underground start developing, but you still don't see anything above ground. But eventually, that tree begins to sprout, but it takes many years to develop into a big tall tree. Self-development and working on yourself is similar. As long as you keep watering and nurturing that seed, you will have a solid foundation that will keep growing and will last. Think about it. How much different would your life be today if you would have invested in yourself more the past few years? Working on your mindset, beliefs, business, health, relationships, etc. ---- Follow Rafael on: Instagram: @_rafaelhernandez Twitter: @rafaelhernandz_ Check out Rafael's: Linktree: RH Linktree Website: RH Website Blog: RH Blog
