Description

I have been a Christian for 18 years and for the last 10 years I have been in dialogue with college students and high school students about the Gospel and I have written articles, sharing my thoughts on a sundry of topics with a diverse audience. These opportunities have served as a platform for sharing thoughtful perspectives on the Gospel from a Christian World view. With this podcast therefore, my aim is to continue the conversation as I share with you, my views on how being a Christian shapes all of life.

This series of episodes (Part 1 of 3) is a response to the recent issue of the death of members of a Church in St. James. These members were killed through what seemed to be ritualistic killing, which has been very disturbing to the Jamaican public. It has also sparked numerous discussions and my hope is that these episodes will serve others to think critically. Books used: Foxes Book of Martyrs- John Foxe The Bible- All passages were quoted from the English Standard Version Students of the word- John Stott Why Trust the Bible- Greg Gilbert
In this Podcast I’ll share a bit more about: who I am, a bit of what to expect and also what prompted this initiative. Email address: themusingspodcast@gmail.com

We ask questions inherently for multiple reasons throughout life. In this episode the reasons for three main questions of 1) Who am I 2) Where did I come from and 3) Why am I here are asked as we aim to make sense of the world. We explore these questions, not to answer it right away but to affirm their place in the pursuit or discovery of Truth. Please see the following books used: Mere Christianity- C.S. Lewis Your Mind Matters- John Stott Confessions- Augustine Why Should anyone believe anything at all- James Sire
As we explore the idea of worldviews, for this episode we will be exploring the factors that shape our beliefs. Last episode we explored the fact that we all believe in something or an idea and now we look on what influences and helps to shape these beliefs. Please submit any questions to themusingspodcast@gmail.com Please see below the books referred to: Why Should we believe anything at all?- James Sire Art and the Bible- Francis Schaeffer Orthodoxy- G.K. As we start our series on worldviews, I thought it essential to start out by establishing some essentials before tackling the various view points and before even commending to you a Biblical worldview. This episode establishes where I think we all start. Below I have shared some books that I have found to be helpful for this episode particularly and also for the series: Why Should anyone believe anything at all? James Sire Your Mind matters- John Stott Students of the Word- John Stott
Questions have existed for as long as dialogue and enquiry existed. We ask questions out of a desire for answers, Socrates once said  “as it is, the lover of inquiry must follow his beloved wherever it may lead him”. It is my hope to share with you a few thoughts on this topic that I do hope will serve you well. Books mentioned are: The Horse and His boy- C.S. Lewis Till We Have Faces- C.S. Lewis The Weight of Glory (essay)- C.S. Lewis Confessions- Augustine Why Trust the Bible-Greg Gilbert Trial and death of Socrates- Plato
