Nocturnis is a five-piece black metal band from the Black Forest region of southern Germany, known for combining atmospheric intensity with historically informed concept albums. Formed in 2019, the band first gained underground attention with their debut EP “Aporia” (2020) and their acclaimed first full-length “Unsegen” (2022), which earned favorable reviews across the metal press.Live, Nocturnis have built their reputation through supporting slots for established acts including Suffocation, Thron, Kanonenfieber, Grima, and Agathodaimon.Their second album, “Drangsal” (2026), is a cohesive concept album that unites music, lyrics, and visual design into a single artistic statement, blending historical subject matter, black metal, and a clear aesthetic vision. It was produced by guitarist Vincent Padrutt, with mixing and mastering by Nikita Kamprad. Their second album with Dusktone unfolds across eight chapters inspired by Goethe, Kant and Baudelaire, reimagining the figure of Faust through a contemporary lens.
