Life's But A Song

Scott introduced to Jon this screwball murder mystery that the characters were turned into a musical that was an original story without the charm. Jon, as always, is confused as to why they made an original story. Scott is big mad at the musical. When Scary Met Stabby Instagram: @whenscarymetstabbyWriter’s Bagel Basket Socials Instagram: @writersbagelbasketHell Is A Musical Socials Instagram: @hellisamusicalNO!...Stalgia Instagram: @stalgiapodPodcast Socials -Email: [email protected]: @butasongpodInstagram: @butasongpodThreads: @butasongpodNext episode: Lili (1953)!

Jon surprised himself by picking this one for Arianna to watch (for the first time!). The two discuss how wonderful Kevin Bacon is in this movie, Jon bitches about changes made to the stage version, and Jon saved Arianna from watching the terrible remake but watched it himself.Arianna’s Socials -Instagram/TikTok: @ladyaria_Website: www.ariannaarmon.comPodcast Socials -Email: [email protected]: @butasongpodInstagram: @butasongpodThreads: @butasongpodNext episode: The Thin Man (1934)

In a theme month crossover event, we're closing out spooky season but starting another round of Screen to Stage with the 1988 cult classic Beetlejuice (or Betelgeuse?). Blanche has been patiently waiting to talk about this, and is disappointed in Jon's views on the sequel movie. Also, Jon is a downer this whole episode...Blanche's Instagram: @blanketjuiceThe Afictionados Links: https://linktr.ee/theafictionadosPodcast Socials -Email: [email protected]: @butasongpodInstagram: @butasongpodThreads: @butasongpodNext episode: Footloose (1984)!

Jon learned of a short lived Broadway musical, Hot Feet, and got in touch with the book writer, Heru Ptah. This episode is a little different because the internet failed Jon, but Heru gave a lot of behind the scenes stories.Heru's Linktree: https://linktr.ee/eyeofheru?utm_source=linktree_profile_share&ltsid=ee3eb3c6-8e8d-49bf-a137-1ea50fe4fcc3Podcast Socials -Email: [email protected]: @butasongpodInstagram: @butasongpodThreads: @butasongpodNext episode: Beetlejuice (1988)!

We're trying here - although this isn't a musical, Jon and Christopher get into the cult classic The Crow, and how this music was influential for metal/industrial musicians (like Christopher). However, Jon does try to pitch a musical movie adaptation of this story.Static Low Instagram: @staticlowWhen Scary Met Stabby Instagram: @whenscarymetstabbyOld Men Yell at Cloud Instagram: @oldmenyellatcloudPodcast Socials -Email: [email protected]: @butasongpodInstagram: @butasongpodThreads: @butasongpodNext episode: Hot Feet!
