There are many triggers we are faced with right now. The good news is that there is an abundance of ways we can support ourselves. Today I share a tip on a practice that we can all engage in, at any time.....FINDING The Glimmer!Glimmering is a term that was first coined by psychologist Deb Dana and the term has since gone viral after psychotherapist, Dr. Justine posted a Tik Tok in her own moment of glimmering. Simply put "glimmering" is purposely searching for positive moments-being eager to find moments of joy and new ways to reclaim our hope. But there is more....tune in to today's show to learn more about this practice and why it works! Today's show is focused on the process that we should invite ourselves to honor when we may be in a season of waiting. Some may call this process "procrastination" but I offer another perspective to consider.  Tune in for a deeper dive on this topic and to receive tips on discovering when it is time to move and why waiting does not equate to procrastination. There is usually a deeper meaning connected to why you may not be getting started. "Be Still, and know that I AM GOD" (Psalm 46:10)

Individually, collectively...we always have a reason to hold onto hope and on any day if we can't get there, we have ways to recover and restore our hope.In this episode, I share 21 offerings that will support you in cultivating hope, even in the most trying of times. Finding My Voice

Finding My Voice

2021-06-2818:42

Last week I lost "my voice"....today I share my awareness. My hope is that this message supports those who are still trying to find their voice and those seeking support in embracing the beauty in silence.
Inner child healing, is a way to address our needs that haven't been met as children and heal the attachment wounds we've developed.  As adults, we walk around carrying wounds from our childhood that have never been addressed. Today's show covers Part 1, a deeper dive on inner child healing and the signs to look for in determining if you have areas of healing that will support your inner child's desire for peace and love. "When we heal the inner child, we heal generations. We heal the world." ~Dr. Trish Phillips
Closure!

Closure!

2021-05-3141:14

Closure:  finality; a letting go of what once was. Finding closure implies a complete acceptance of what has happened and an honoring of the transition away from what's finished to something new. Today's episode focuses on the importance of healthy closure in relationships and other situations in our lives when we know it is time to move on.  "Closure happens right after you accept that letting go and moving on is more important than projecting a fantasy of how the relationship could have been."
Today I returned home to the devastating news of 2 children in our district whose lives tragically ended, allegedly by their mother. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of these children and we stand in mourning with our community at large. There are no words to express how deeply the heartbreaking loss of these children has impacted many.  As we remember this month being Mental Heath Awareness Month, I am sharing a replay of a two part show focused on mental health awareness and #breakingthestigma. For both, I am joined a team of clinicians who are experts in this area. They offer tips, resources and support while sharing their experiences and how we can individually and collectively destigmatize mental health. Dr. Sandra Vazquez is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor serving in private practice.  Dr. Vazquez can provide support via 585-299-2020. As we reflect on a day dedicated to Moms and those women who have mothered us, we know how very layered the role of "mom" is and the abundance of rewards and challenges on the journey. Today we take a closer look at Mother's Day from my own perspective as a mother and daughter....Motherhood is a choice you make every day, to put someone else's happiness and well-being ahead of your own. To teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you're not sure what the right thing is......and to forgive yourself over and over again for doing everything wrong.-Donna Bell
