I was so excited to have Andrea on my Podcast as a guest and I know now why.  I knew that the content would be of value to my listeners.  All my guests share valuable information, but in this case, the EMDR aspect fascinated me.Andrea is very knowledgeable on so many subjects that can be connected to our recovery from bulimia and eating disorders, with one being learning how to deal with emotions.  I love how this connects to the previous episode with Brady and Ana and what we spoke about. My favourite line?  Trauma has to do with too much too soon, or too little too long.   I saw and heard that line.    Also, I loved the conversation about emotional dysregulation. For those of you who have reached out to me on Messenger, I hope that my Podcast guests help you.  Reach out to the person you engage with here.Andrea, thank you.  This was truly a great learning experience.  Andrea also speaks to her 90-day journal Plan To Recover which will be partnered with The Road Less Travelled coming soon.More about Andrea and where to find her and her journal Plan To Recover:https://directimpactmedia.com/Plan To RecoverWith 19 years of experience in the field of Mental Health, Mrs. Epting is a practicing Professional Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, EMDR Certified Therapist, Certified Sex Therapist, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. Andrea has been a private practitioner since 2007 and specializes in the treatment of trauma-initiated process addictions, diamine deficiencies, sexual dysfunctions, compulsive behaviors, and partner betrayal. Additionally, she is the Founder of Wize Mind Enterprises, Lightning In A Bottle digital courses, and the host of the Direct Impact podcast. Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! Wonderful episode about how Ana shares her story of bulimia recovery.  Brady was previously on my Podcast speaking to dog training and how it relates to humans training their mindset for both themselves and their furry family.Ana is candid and speaks very much about how a bulimic feels through the journey of bulimia and recovery.  Brady introduced his partner, encouraged her to tell her story, and asked some very pointed questions as a partner to someone who had struggled with the disorder.I truly appreciate this couple.  Lovely story about how they met as well. More About Ana:What we didn't get into, and I hope Ana will return as a guest once again to give us more information, is how Reiki changed her life.  She did speak to the spirituality part of her journey to recovery as well as OA (Overeaters Anonymous), but there was another part to this, and it inspired her to start her own business to help others heal through this method.  Keep posted for where to find her on Social Media. :)More About Brady:You can reach out to him at https://info.newdirectiondogtraining.com/ or on TikTok and Instagram @dndogtraining. Brady is a dedicated dog trainer with a passion for empowering puppies, dogs, and their owners to achieve greater success and harmony at their home and around town! With years of hands-on experience, he's honed his skills in canine behavior, obedience, emotional support, and service dog training. Brady firmly believes that a well-trained dog is a happy and confident dog, and his mission is to empower dog owners with the knowledge and tools to create a peaceful and loving home themselves. Most dog owners find themselves struggling to unlock their pet's full potential, often falling short of creating the well-behaved companion they envision. I was at a similar place, at rock bottom, and I needed to do something fast.In his signature keynote, "From Chaos to Harmony: Unlocking the Secrets to Your Dream Dog" Brady Foulk shares his up-and-down journey, guiding individuals to realign their focus on what they can control rather than what they lack.Support the show
Very interesting conversation with Ben Oofana.  Healer.  He has been in practice for 35 years.  We chatted about bulimia and his three most powerful interactions.  Deep tissue massage, acupuncture, and floatation tanks.Ben speaks about his own trauma and how he helps others with their own.    He speaks to numbing and avoiding.I did bring up the fact that being an adult with bulimia and being in mid-life bulimia.  This is different than working with children.Ben responded that even if he has limited information of the individual, he does admit many incidences, but his clients don't divulge all he needs to know to heal.Typical of bulimics.Ben states he will take his hands and scan the person.  And he says he then feels in person how they hurt emotionally.Accessing emotions and working with emotions is important.  And getting connected to their physical bodies is important to overcome the emotional triggers.Best line.  Digest your emotions.  Learn through how to do that in a healthy manner. You can reach out to Ben by going to https://benoofana.com also download a free copy of my eBook "The Essentials of Getting Over Your Breakup and Moving Onhttp://gettingoveryourbreakup.comMore about Ben:After a succession of destructive relationships in hismid-twenties, Ben realized that he was reenacting thetraumas of his childhood and adolescence. Being veryintuitive, he began to develop an entire series ofintensive meditation practices to facilitate theawakening of the innate healing intelligence residingwithin the body and mind.Ben began to explore a wide range of therapeuticinterventions and soon thereafter returned to theancient practices he had learned while training withHorace Daukei, a traditional Native American doctor(medicine man) from the Kiowa Tribe. Ben later wenton to train with Chinese Master Sifu Li Tai Liang. Hehas incorporated these practices that have their rootsin the ancient Taoist lineages.Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! A very open and honest discussion.  Jordan is a Flooring Contractor.  Along with this, he is also a Mindset, Fitness, and Nutrition Coach.  The latter was inspired by his upbringing and the tragedy he witnessed.  Jordan's parents divorced and after the break up his mother spiraled downwards.  Along with becoming addicted to meth, she also had bulimia, something Jordan shares with us about his experience.Jordan himself struggled with what mirrors anorexia, where he would not eat and dropped down to 140 lbs from 180.  He realized he had to make a change, and so, the mindset, fitness, and nutrition coaching, helping others overcome difficulties they have experienced and witnessed. You can find Jordan on Instagram @one.contract.flooring.1Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! What a lovely and inspiring interview with Brady Foulk.  And how fun that this is episode 101.  Reminded me of the 101 Dalmations.  How would Brady train all 101?  A question for the next time I have him on my Podcast.   At first, I was wondering, when he reached out to me, how this would relate to my Podcast.  He was clear on how it would.  And it does. Fun pre-intro when I asked how he wanted to be introduced.  He said his last name is said "folk" like folks.  I told him I think I can say that fine.  Even with my lisp.  And or I could say he was Brady, like the "Brady Bunch".  Wanted to hug him right there.  My kind of humour. I have always had dogs.  And my dogs have been part of the reason I recovered.  My sister's unconditional love for me also made me realize dogs give you that too and what would my dogs do if I were to leave them?Brady shares his own story of how he had to retrain his own thinking and lifestyle and explains the three different ways we can deal with issues.  Ignore, manage or make it sustainable.Brady and I chatted after the interview and it was interesting that he asked me what were my questions while I was eating after I recovered.  He asked that because I told him when I was eating at family gatherings when I was bulimic, would I find a way to get rid of the food?  Today it's not really asking any questions.  It's enjoying the food and the company.  So there are no mental thoughts of what I will have to do, other than the dishes. :)  Great question though.Brady shares many intuitive thoughts and is very engaging.  And his dogs Bumble Bee and Curiosity are so adorable!  Check them out on Social Media! You can reach out to him at https://info.newdirectiondogtraining.com/ or on Tiktok and Instagram @dndogtraining.  The episode about water?  My birthday buddy friend Aaron was my guest on that episode.  You can view that one at https://www.buzzsprout.com/1484140/13189498More about Brady:Brady is a dedicated dog trainer with a passion for empowering puppies, dogs, and their owners to achieve greater success and harmony at their home and around town! Lovely conversation with Paul Zolman.  Also very inspirational.  From being an abused child, to an angry adult, Paul tells the story of how he decided to change.  He removed the permission to blame others, and took responsibility for his present and future outlook.Creator of the Role of Love based on the Five Love Language book, he came up with a die that allows you to roll it every morning and focus on what it landed on.  He said the goal is to practice that all day.You can find out more about Paul by visiting his website RoleOfLove.comBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! What a pleasure to have Clint Callahan as a guest.  Clint is a licensed therapist and life coach and says he has worked with everybody over the past 23 years.  Meaning, he has worked with prisoners, business owners, people with eating disorders, etc.Cline has a great program called Small Changes Big Impact, 1% Per Day Transformational System.  It was interesting to speak to people wanting it all now.  This is slow and steady, making it more likely to last.  Clint said the important thing is to be aware of when you lie to yourself.  He takes great pleasure in bumping the light, and in watching when his clients see the light.Along with this, we chatted about burnout and the different stages of burnout.Make sure you visit Clint's website for a free book!  https://www.smallchangesbigimpact.net/freebookYou can also find him on Instagram @smallchangesbigimpact.4u.New Release Kindle or Signed Copy! We all know that plastic water bottles are causing havoc on our earth.  Some of us may also know that the acidity in water is not healthy, and yes, acidity in water exists.  I asked Aaron to join me to discuss the water issues.  The taste, the acidity, the ability to reduce that acidity and split the two, and to have use for the acidic part of the water for cleaning.  Very interesting topic.Do you hate drinking water?  And if you don't, and you drink a lot are you drinking the right kind? You can reach out to Aaron by visiting Tiktok @aaronkonow or on Facebook as well at awkonow.Support the show
This is a fun series of 5.  The first time I am doing a series, because I believe 30 minutes at a time is the best way to listen to a Podcast.I was a guest on Benjamin's Podcast The Dream Wizard and I was amazed.  I also had him on as a guest here to discuss his ability to interpret dreams.Episode #93 of The Dream Wizard Podcast is when I appeared, and while he interviewed me, he took notes.  I asked if he wanted me to do a handwriting analysis for him.  He agreed and sent me the notes. This is the outcome.  We went through each characteristic in depth, so this was a two-and-a-half-hour discussion.  Welcome to Part Five of Five.To find Benjamin and all his amazing books just look up BenjaminTheDreamWizard on Google and you will find everything from his Instagram link, his WordPress, and his Facebook.  Make sure to follow him!Support the show

This may be a shorter interview, yet a compelling one, and we didn't get into all the Los Angeles information about this beautiful lady.Susan Gold came on and I had a long intro for her and she said just introduce me as an author and coach.  She is so much more than that.It was an honour having her on my Podcast as I am honoured by all my guests and love that all are not about selling or promoting themselves.  Susan made that clear in our pre-interview chat.  I am proud that my guests are not here to sell.  They are here to send a message and reach out.  That is what my podcast is all about.  Find the person you relate to and yes!! please find that person.Susan is GOLD.  I love the story of the body finding intuitively the pain.  I can't find that to be easy because my body still holds pain.  I love that she spoke to taking the time to find out why.  I, like Susan, struggled with self-love.  Narcissism.  It's a common word that social media made known, and there's truth to it.  Too, the empath.  And also the supply a narcissist goes after.  I love that Susan shared about letting go.  And loving yourself.YOU are what matters.  Please, if you are struggling with bulimia or even self-worth, I recommend Susan's book, Toxic Family.  It's more than the title.  It's about enlightenment.  It's about transformation.  And as Susan says in the Podcast, it's where you start to learn about it.  Her book.  And if you need more support... reach out to her.The beauty of Susan saying about finding the love you feel for you. You can find it on Amazon by searching  Toxic Family or easier yet, just go to her website susangold.usNew Release Kindle or Signed Copy! How To Have Your Cake & Not Eat It All Too - A Guide To Adult Bulimia RecoveryBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! This episode was quite emotional.  From Collin sharing his truth in life and his pain of a life that is a book to come, I hope.  Truthfulness and honesty and pain.  It's hard to lose someone suddenly.  I did try to relate suicide to Bulimia and Eating Disorders.  This was why I had Collin on this episode.  There were spoken words of quick loss versus slow ones, however, to me this was about having someone come on in pain and sharing that if you are feeling pain, and you are experiencing an eating disorder, it IS  A SLOW SUICIDE. I hope you find out more about Collin Hughes and Collin's story and his fight against suicide.  I know the feeling.  I felt like I wanted to drive into a pole when I was going through a divorce.  I heard the love of my life tell me she put a noose around her neck and she failed and I am grateful for that she is okay now... although still suffers from "what is this world about and why the f' am I here?"  Scares me that she still has those thoughts.  So still every day I wonder. What percent of us have thought about suicide, and yet are scared and doing it slowly, like I did for 30 years?  I was told that.  Bulimia is a slow suicide, as are all eating disorders.Mom told me tonight that she noticed I and my sister who also dealt with weight and mental health issues have learned how to live life with beauty and enjoy food, while also knowing to enjoy... and learning about what your body needs, and that you need just to enjoy life. My parents were freaked out about losing me when I was bulimic.  I have had friends with anorexia whose parents felt the same.  KNOW THIS, AN EATING DISORDER IS A SLOW SUICIDE AND SCARES THE HELL OUT OF THOSE WHO LOVE YOU!  My daughter knew I had bulimia and asked me to please LIVE. I hope this loss and pain make you realize YOU MATTER!You can find Collin Hughes by going to:https://www.buzzsprout.com/2036777https://www.buzzsprout.com/2036777/sharehttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-miracles-of-tragedy/id1641402383And The Malinois Foundation, which Collin referenced can be found at the link below:https://themalinoisfoundation.org/Support the showSupport the show
I remember first being on Benjamin's podcast.  I felt comfortable right away.  I was intrigued by my dreams.  I had struggled with a recurring one.  We addressed that one. With two to three hours he shares with his guests on his Podcast The Dream Wizard, I still didn't feel it was enough to get into all the weird and grey  (no colour) dreams I had when I was bulimic. That was for another time.  And this is the episode with Benjamin as a guest that is.Having said that, it was interesting that after he interviewed me on his Podcast and was making some suggestions as to WHY this recurring dream may be, it became clear and he was spot on, and I stopped having them.In this episode, you will learn about how dreams can be affected by diet, and emotions, in a fun way.  I appreciate Benjamin more than anyone will know.  It is why I felt compelled to have him as a guest here.If anyone here who listened can relate to strange dreams that shifted once becoming bulimic or having an eating disorder, I highly recommend connecting with Benjamin. To those who just decide to listen, I am asking you to please support his animal rescue home by providing even a dollar towards his and his wife's upkeep of animals in need.  I know the feeling  All my animals are.  Benjamin will be back as we both speak together as a team on how dreams and handwriting connect.  Both of these are "science" that cannot be proven in absolute, yet can be very accurate to a very interesting degree.  Stay tuned. You can find The Dream Wizard by going to  https://benjaminthedreamwizard.comBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREEBE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling!
