Description

The Forgotten Voices of Colombian Armed Conflict Victims is an invitation for teachers to create historical memory in their English classrooms through listening to the life trajectories of two Colombian armed conflict victims. With this, it is expected that students become aware of what has happened in our country as well as to give voice to those who have been silent in this war. This project is a collaboration with Archivo de Memoria Oral de las Víctimas (AMOVI-UIS). Created by: Silvia Alvarez, Leonardo Amado, Henry Roman, Alexander Marciales and Valentina Torres.

These are the lives of two women who unfortunately have experienced at first hand the never-ending Colombian armed conflict. A conflict that has destroyed so many lives and whose victims have been silent for so long. Now, it is time that we listen to them and that their voices are heard. This life trajectory was collected by Archivo de Memoria Oral de las Víctimas (AMOVI-UIS), translated by Leonardo Amado and Alexander Marciales, revised by Nathaly Bernal and narrated by Leonardo Amado and Valentina Torres
