Something different while we wait for Season 8 to land. Yet another one of my songs. This one was written for a musical that never eventuated, about an ageing actress trying to restart her career. This song was originally written for a play-with-music, "Blame it on Your Mother", back in the early 2000s. I thought, at the time, that I was fictionalising my own experience to gift to a character who had more sense than me. But time passed, and as it happened, this is exactly how my relationship with my mother panned out! At last, the big finale. Helen finds herself the centre of attention, so she has to take advantage of the situation and see if she can get some real changes happening. Helen is alone again, as the dog Hermes has gone off to Australia to visit her granddaughter Susie, and to enlist the stray dogs there to join in the litter cleaning campaign.
