Joining us today is Emmet Peppers famous for having turned $30K into $30M-$70M for a greater than 1000X return!
Emmet has built his wealth largely through strong conviction in Tesla since 2011, but last year in particular Emmet had a MONSTER year through buying out of the money puts on QQQ - the Nasdaq Index - just before the stock market crashed due to Covid last year. And then flipping the trade to long calls on key names like Tesla, Peloton, and Square right after.
Today Emmet has started his own hedge fund called Good Soil Investment Management which is Emmet’s attempt to build a hedge fund in a new way. We talk about Good Soil, but spend much of the time talking about how if Emmet were starting over today… how he would think about finding the next Tesla or turning a $6K Roth IRA in 2021 into $6M… somehow.

This week on Super Stonk Bros! Macro108 aka Joe and Steve welcome noted game developer, consultant, technologist and all-around deep thinker Lars Doucet to the show to discuss his thesis on Bitcoin and other blockchains.
As we think our viewers will see, Lars is hardly the median blockchain bear carrying an ideological axe to grind and rooting for bitcoin and its progeny to fail.
Instead, his criticisms are largely technological in nature, and involve comparing what has been promised by the white paper crew (including Satoshi) to what they have actually managed to deliver to this point: a bunch of partially functional systems that are nowhere near as secure, distributed, or functional as their boosters claim them to be.
Topics include:
* Does Bitcoin have a future?
* Proof of Work versus Proof of Stake consensus systems
* Marginal theories of value and the origins of currency
* Is Elon Musk right about what it’ll take to establish a blockchain-based “currency of Earth?”
* Whether the explosive growth of ‘Play to Earn’ gaming makes sense
* How about the NFT phenomenon?
