Sue Stockdale talks to John Hannigan, a member of the Home Cluster, about the concept of home, and what it means to him and the others in the Cluster. John reflects on what he has learned so far by being part of a Cluster, and how using a systemic approach has changed the way he leads the Circle Voluntary Housing Association. John Hannigan is Chief Executive Officer of Circle Voluntary Housing Association, one of Irelands largest Tier 3 Approved Housing Bodies, since September 2017. Prior to this John was Managing Director of Sunbeam House Services, and Company Treasurer of Respond Housing Association in Ireland and South Africa. With over 30 years’ experience in the Housing Sector, John holds an MBA and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, a Fellow of the Association of Certified Accountants, and a member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland. Sue Stockdale talks to Agata Meysner about what it’s like being a member of the Young Leaders Cluster. Agata explained what is discussed in the Cluster and what she is learning as a result. Agata Meysner is an activist and an environmentalist driven by empowering young people to become changemakers in their communities. She is currently a Director at Generation Climate Europe, the largest coalition of youth-led networks advocating for a just and green transition in Europe. Agata is experienced in EU advocacy, volunteer management and conducting non-formal education trainings gained by working for various non-profit organisations for the last seven years. After studying and working in Poland, the Netherlands, Spain and Belgium, she is currently pursuing an MSc in Public Policy at University College London (UCL) focusing on circular economy and resource efficiency.Listen to the Clusters series and your mindset will be expanded to discover what's possible. Simon Bazalgette talks to host Sue Stockdale about how the legacy of the Grubb Institute, which focused on organisational dynamics, systems thinking and psychology, has played a role in the creation of Clusters. Simon is Chair of Trustees at the Xenergie Foundation, the charity supporting Clusters, which brings together game changers from all walks of life, who care and want to help solve bigger issues in the world today. He is also the Chairman of Global Venue Services, which he co-founded in 2020. Between 2008 and 2019 he was Chairman of Jockey Club Racecourses, (JCR) the largest UK racecourse operator, and Group Chief Executive of its owner, The Jockey Club. JCR owns and operates 15 racecourses and puts on three of the top 10 best attended sports events in the UK (Cheltenham, the Grand National and the Derby).
