From the team behind the Webby Award-winning Best Podcast Series It Was Said and the acclaimed podcast Hope,Through History, comes Reflections of History, a series that guides listeners through critical moments in world history.
Join Pulitzer Prize winning and best-selling historian Jon Meacham as he travels back to impactful events that occurred on that date in history—the birth of a visionary filmmaker, the debut of an iconic athlete, the discovery of a lifesaving cure, a triumphant legal victory. You'll learn how that event shaped politics, art, culture, sports and science, and why it’s still relevant today.
Reflections of History is an Audacy original presented in partnership with Shining City Audio.
hiatus
well, that made no sense to me. wasted that 6:47.
Your leftist politics shows. your show is interesting but you are NOT always balanced and go left the more recent the history. And for that reason I don't share this program.
your politics spills over into an honest ook at history. This is still current. Find out who planted the explosives and get a good interview of Roy Epps. Very dishonest episode.
careful....you're showing your bias
Thatcher and Reagan introduced dumb charisma to politics. unfortunately it's alive and well. so much so that smart people with elite education are pretending to be buffoons in pursuit of power.
I Am so grateful to mr Meachem for this inspiring podcast. I need to hear this at this time to remain hopeful that the USA will find its way.
I would be interested to know about the pull the Democrats had to the left when you find that day. like....when did you go from the desire to have a border to our country to opening the floodgates? Which Democrat leader did that? Perhaps the left has moved waaaaay left. and you just THINK the right moved.
I, for the most part, enjoy these podcasts. You, sir, need to stop your commentary. You are trying to pin the term insurrection to President Trump. He was only challenging the election. Your tilt to the left is evident.
Meachem leans left. States should have more weight in our republic. This episode is stupid.
If you are a Christ follower....you know the kingdom of God is 1st. Everything hangs on that.
Sounds like a woke podcast. not interested in "reinventing" this country. Trash
The irony of a podcast, that is so obviously biased and left leaning, named the fate of fact hits me so hard in the heart and feels me with such despair. I have been appalled at the storm of insanity that I have seen from the right, that being said I am just as disgusted by the greed and vengeance filled arrogance of the left. If we are going to talk about the fate of fact we should probably start by at least attempt to come at the very serious and dangerous topic with a very critical eye from both sides of the line.
Jennifer Rubin does the same lying as the republicans. She should not have been invited.
I cannot stand Savannah Guthrey!!!
Illuminating facts. "History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes, ” Mark Twain Thank you.
Apparently the right has ALWAYS felt like they were 'losing' ........? If they were always losing, when did they win¿¡
bunk
In a world where people often assume "nothing like this has ever happened before," Jon Meacham's calm perspective walking us through events of yesterday is both reassuring and alarming. A masterful production.
God! I love your voice. First 'Hope, through history', and then 'It was said' and now 'Fate of Fact'. More weeks of pleasure!
