why aren't you fighting this hard against big tobacco???
kids should go back to smoking cigarettes. much better alternative. And leave vaping the fuck alone.
Apple does make products that can be argued that are "addictive", be it FOMO, peer pressure, the Right-to-repair issues, and proprietary accessories.
This episode is a BIT silly. The producer/host is so defensive of the individuals behind Juul that she shuts down any semblance of critical analysis on the part of the other speakers. Kind of defeats the purpose of this episode and makes you rethink her slant on the rest of the series...
I agree with Jul however the Stanford professor analysis was total B.S. but that's the majority of Ivy league academia they just fine something from nothing.
Jul paints a tale of unintended consequences but how can you work in advertising and be so ignorant about the consequences of advertising. It was intentionally targeted toward young people.
This is a very terrible situation, but no offense, did you hear that father in the end? He blamed everyone else except himself and his wife. I mean, f**k, he found Juul several times AND a large bag of weed in his teenage son's room and still trusted his son's lies until he was completely addicted. You can kill a company or a whole industry to stop addiction, but you can kill stupidity.
some people get horny to vape, some get horny to smoke... we should all just be horny for life
I don't condone vaping but I have said since the beginning of covid. covid was here long before we realized the symptoms of vaping were awfully similar to covid. As a person who has to deduct broken stuff everyday it pays to keep it simple. You have pneumonia oh you vape its gotta be the vape open and shut case.
This show is about the wonderful benefits of life saving vapor products, not to mention a complete disruptor of both big business and special interest groups and the billions of dollars of money the government makes off of the lives of cigarette smokers every day, right? Over 4,000 ingredients in a single cigarette vs 4 in your everyday E-liquid. I know which one I'd choose if I was addicted to nicotine. The illnesses were caused by black market THC products, they weren't even nicotine devices. Kids were hacking their juuls to vape weed. But this is the type of propaganda you get when you listen to the government when it comes to an absolute industrial disruptor like vaping. The UK gets it. The royal college of physicians, the same institute that came out in the 60s and said cigarettes were bad for you, they were laughed at then, and they're mocked now for saying that vaping is at least 95% safer than traditional combustible tobacco cigarettes. They're putting vape shops in their hospi
Burning tobacco isn't the problem, tobacco itself is. People chew tobacco and it's still bad for you, and there's no smoke involved in that. The only way to make tobacco healthy is to not use it.
