Congratulations, You have came upon Allendale Strong. We are a community organization born from the love and admiration of the Allendale Neighborhood in Shreveport, Louisiana. The organization sprang from the fight to stop the I-49 inner city connector through the historical black community that birth some the greats of Shreveport. The two people that will take on this journey through history and fight is a man who is known for documenting some of Louisiana most important news, John Perkins. The Producer is a man born from the street of Allendale and Shreveport, Roosevelt Bryant. So sit back and let us introduce you to the people of Allendale and its fight for equal justice against those that mean to quiet us. Sorry but we walked in with a bullhorn!

In this episode, we talk to Rose Wilson McCulloch and Brenda Wimberly about Cedar Grove, Cooper Road and how Jackson Heights and Rosenberg Subdivision are connected. We dive deeper into the home ownership, Allendale's proximity to Downtown Shreveport, and how it takes more than just showing up to city hall. This was an eye opening episode into the inner working of the City Council and Parish commission.
