Some people become legends without ever asking for the spotlight, and Ken "Goose" Rehill is one of them.
Known throughout the rodeo world simply as Goose, Ken has spent decades as the Calgary Stampede's longtime flankman and livestock coordinator, caring for the bucking horses that helped build one of the greatest rodeos in the world. From hauling stock across North America to working behind the chutes with some of rodeo's greatest athletes, Goose has seen it all—and he's got the stories to prove it.
We recorded this conversation just weeks before Goose was honored as the 2026 Cowboy of the Year, making this episode an even more special look back at an incredible career. We talk about his decision to retire, the friendships he's made on the road, the unforgettable moments behind the scenes, and the deep bond he shares with the animals that have been at the center of his life's work.
A big thank you to Kail Ethier for helping make this interview happen and joining us for this unforgettable conversation.
If you've ever wondered what it takes to become one of the most respected figures in rodeo, this is an episode you won't want to miss.

Two absolute legends of the horse world: Dan James and Jill Barron.
Dan James has spent a lifetime learning from horses—from growing up on a cattle farm in Queensland to becoming a two-time World Champion Colt Starter, international performer, liberty horseman, and one of the most recognizable names in modern horsemanship.
Jill Barron brings a completely different—but equally badass—perspective. A lifelong horsewoman with ranch roots, international Working Equitation experience, and a reputation for blending classical techniques with natural horsemanship, Jill has made teaching riders and developing better horse-human partnerships her life's work.
Just good horses, good stories, hard-earned lessons, and a whole lot of Cowboy Shit.

In this episode, we sit down with legendary stockman and clinician Curt Pate for a wide-ranging conversation about stockmanship, horsemanship, cattle handling, and what it really means to understand the animal you’re working with.
Joining us as guest co-host is Keith Stewart, bringing his own perspective and experience to the conversation as we dig into the principles, lessons, and experiences that have shaped Curt’s approach to working with livestock and horses.
Curt has spent decades learning from stockmen, horsemen, ranchers, cattlemen, and livestock producers, developing an approach centered around feel, timing, balance, pressure, release, and—most importantly—understanding what the animal is telling you. His work has taken him across North America conducting stockmanship and horsemanship clinics and helping producers improve the way they work with their livestock.
This conversation goes beyond simply moving cattle or getting a job done. We talk about reading animals, building trust, managing pressure, learning from the stockmen who came before us, and why good stockmanship is as much about the person as it is the animal.
If you work cattle, start colts, ride horses, ranch, or simply want to better understand the relationship between people and livestock, this is an episode you won’t want to miss.

Coming at you from The Heart of The Horse, we are catching up with Keith Stewart! A horseman, bronc rider, cutting horse trainer, and the founder of Cowboy Campus.
From growing up horseback in Canada’s national parks and riding broncs at the Calgary Stampede, to working with legendary cutting horse trainer Larry Reeder and having his entire approach to horsemanship changed by Buck Brannaman, Keith has spent a lifetime learning what it really means to understand a horse.
We talk rodeo, cutting horses, colt starting, Heart of the Horse, and why the best horsemen never stop learning.

We’re hanging out with Canadian country artist Kelsi Mayne, who joined us during the Calgary Stampede for a conversation that was every bit as entertaining as you’d expect.
Kelsi has carved out her own lane in country music, blending country roots with Motown soul, hip-hop and a little rock attitude. A Windsor, Ontario native who spent nearly a decade writing in Nashville, she’s become one of Canada’s most exciting independent artists, with millions of streams, multiple CMAOntario nominations, a 2024 International Songwriting Competition win, and appearances at some of the biggest country festivals in the country.
And this wasn’t just a sit-down interview, Kelsi brought the music with her. She even grabbed a guitar and sang a few songs for us right there in the studio.
It’s a fun one with plenty of laughs, a little music, and some good old-fashioned Cowboy Shit.
Hop aboard the #MayneTrain and give it a listen!
