Description
This podcast by Kirsty Mac is a one woman show with interviews - she could not decide on the format! In researching of her book she started an unplanned journey into researching death (deeply joyful!) and, well, living. To have a life, a beautiful heart centred whole hearted life, part of us has to die. You have to let go of the ego and the notion of the self in order to be. Madness.
And so these conversations are an expansion of the research and conversations about really living. Its light- well thats the plan - whilst doing some deep dives into what it means to live a life. Conversations will be about death of reality, the ego business, relationships, the dream and maybe even death of meaning.Given that this was recorded, to begin with, in 2020, it brings about some interesting conversations. Thankyou for listening in.

Reading Beth Kemptons delicious book – Calm Christmas and a Happy New year and starting the annual “what do you want to eat at Xmas?’’ conversations with my parents got me thinking on what this season is.
So, what is it?
What does it mean to you?
What could it mean to you?
And design the Christmas for you.
Be gentle.
Leatham Green is one of the very few people I would feel comfortable sending a blow up unicorn costume to and know that it would be received in good faith (well the video he sent me proves that to be the case).
An all round good human with such a story that blows me away every single time I hear it.
He’s a soul that has been here before, many times and, I am certain, every time he was here he made us all laugh AND wore impeccable hats.

Yeah, this is a musing from me, thinking on what we are tuning into.
I was tuning into my heart and wondering how this brain run world is working for us..
Jon Bartlett entered my constellation during Covid times and we have had many a chortle and brilliant conversation since (in the Zooomsphere).
He is a listener, coach and Time to think facilitator. Well that’s what his linked in says – he is a considerate developer of his own mind, his knowledge of different practises holds great depth and is incredibly far reaching.
He always brings another angle to our conversation.

I was first introduced to Nic's work by the delightful Bev Holden (check out her podcast conversation in the advent season).
I was scheduled to go on a course with him this year however had to move it so very much looking forward to that next year.
Honestly, I don’t even know what he actually does but my interactions with him so far have been wonderful and his poetry and filmography is sublime.

Natalie is a Programme Director in Corporate Technology in Barclays and an advocate of women in leadership and technology.
That’s the “job stuff”.
She is an ALL ROUND great human. Every interaction with Natalie has sparked multiple thoughts, laughter and a gazillion book recommendations.
She is one to watch this one.

Lets stop this craziness of burnout!
Lets stop this busyness status symbol!!
Lets JUST STOP!
As a medal winner in burnout and stress I am delving deep into conversations with people about this illness/pandemic of stress. And its affecting a LOT of people.
This is by no means a deep dive in this podcast but more of a perfectly formed plea (read: rant) for us to take a break.
Bev Holden is a wonder.
There you go – that’s the shownotes done!
Bev Holden is one half of the Thinking Partnership (we interviewed Kate Miles Roberts in season 1) and creates space for thinking globally. Her brilliance is in her groundedness and generosity of heart and I learn tonnes when I spend time with her.
She is a Time to Think Coach and Facilitator amongst a gazillion other things.
Bev is on LinkedIn and Instagram.
Bev and Kate create delicious products and services.

I found this and I like it!
And everytime I think of muppets I think of my dear friend Kevin (as he always calls me a muppet) so I thought I would add this in.
Perry Timms is, according to LinkedIn, founder and Chief Energy Officer of People and Transformational HR Ltd (and a recent Bcorporation status!).
He is a prolific contributor to all things HR in the world- whether this be interviewed on podcasts (like this one) or writing in Medium or contributing to the necessary changes in the workplace, his words are listened to.
As we speak about in this podcast, it’s a craft.
Perrys Books – Energised Workplace and Transformational HR are tomes of text that get you thinking!

Are we maybe being TOO resilient?
Do we need to be SOOOO resilient?
Could we maybe NOT BE RESILIENT?
Ok, this is a rant.
I admit.
Here I talk/rant about the possible overuse of the word resilience and consider if we were kinder to one another would we need SO MUCH resilience.
We end with a less ranty robustness rituals list :)
I have been super lucky to see Damian in action about 50 plus times through work that we have completed together and he is brilliant.
The coupling of his humour and knowledge creates an outrageously impactful learning experience that hits home AND is remembered.
He is well known for the writing of his 12 books, being a consultant and speaker and, laterally, through the High Performance podcast with Jake Humphreys.

The Dying for a Life podcast is about living life well and understanding the multiple deaths that happen in our life - sounds jolly right?
In this episode I am speaking with THE Scott Leiper.
Scott is a baker, a creator and curator of brilliance. His sourdough and vegan delights are quite magnificent and he helps people change the world.
His creations are experienced (over and above the sourdough) in corporate offices, Zoom rooms and in his products such as Cognitive by Imaginocity.
Quite frankly - he's a delightful human.

The Dying for a Life podcast is a mixture maxter of dialogue, insight, poetry and stories… The intention of the podcast is to talk about how to live life well – perhaps in a more gentler fashion than we are doing :)
In this podcast I share an excerpt of a short story that I wrote about Endings.
It was written at the wonderful Julie Drybroughs Write Nights .
This was a big wrestle with myself to share this because its pretty raw and I don’t even know where it came from but its there now.

Dying for a life podcast is a mixture of interviews, monologues, poetry and short stories.
This one is about language. Does language shape what happens to us?
Is it really important?
A wee perusal of thought into the hard stops, sweaty assets and some ducks in a row...
If you know, you know.
This episode of the Dying for a Life Podcast is about identity.
I recently posted on linked in asking the question - are you working from an identity or for an identity? As we go through life we seem to layer labels, roles and identities on top of one another.
When we work 'from' we are in flow, in touch with ourselves, strong.
This is a quick episode of my musings on identity. Maybe we need to kill some off?
You don't have to spend your life looking for love where love is where you came from'

The Dying for a Life podcast is about living life well and understanding the multiple deaths that happen in our life- sounds jolly right. . In this podcast I am speaking to my friend Cat Paterson.
Cat is a multi passionate entrepreneur! Which means she has – approximately 500 businesses (and 2 more have been started since I wrote that sentence).
Cats insight and background from her “previous world (you have to listen to know that she took many principles of running businesses from drug dealers) is used to a high standard in her coaching and consulting and through the development of many products. She is one of the most focused and tenacious individuals I know whose phrase “I’ve been thinking..” strikes fear into many.

The Dying for a Life podcast is a podcast with interviews, stories, poetry and musings. We talk about endings, beginnings, deaths and rebirths and all the things in between.
In this episode I share a conversation with Steve Smith. Steve Smith is an Olympian and an Olympic medal winner. Coming from a running family I was hooked on all things Athletics from a young age and competed at a high level – but NOT Olympic level- the highest of high! I watched Steve achieving his medal in Atlanta – which was a massive feat as I don’t think a British man had won a high jump medal since 1908! It was pretty huge and when I first met him my mum couldn’t believe I was meeting with an Olympic Medal winner!
Steve is now owner, founder and Director of the Raise the bar group.
In this episode, which was recorded through the pandemic in 2020 we talk about endings although you will see that Steve mainly talked about beginnings.
I have worked alongside Raise the Bar for years now and you will get benefit from their Leadership courses and perhaps some of their webinars.

The Dying for a life podcast explores a lot about death (the multiple daily deaths and endings) and the rebirths that happen. In this episode I am talking to the incredible Kate Miles Roberts.
Kate is a delightful human who so happens to do incredible work in businesses as a coach, facilitator, speaker – all of the things! This story has multiple endings and beginnings and you will hear Kates amazing story and her tenacity, focus and enormous heart. Her
I have had the pleasure of working alongside Kate and Bev (who both run the Clear Thinking Partnership) and its always fun and impactful. They have been stalwarts through the pandemic creating spaces for people to talk and learn.
