Description

Criminal is a podcast about crime. Not so much the "if it bleeds, it leads," kind of crime. Something a little more complex. Stories of people who've done wrong, been wronged, and/or gotten caught somewhere in the middle. We're a proud member of Radiotopia, from PRX, a curated network of extraordinary, story-driven shows. Really interesting episode, and I'm glad they're covering sex work, I think it's an important topic. But good god that woman from the Bunny Ranch sounded like she was reading from a script the whole time. It was really jarring and didn't sound at all genuine.

The self righteous religious types sure come out of the woodwork when a woman chooses this life, yet they are fine with their priests and youth leaders being pedophiles and adulterers.

Pure honest love, possibly one of the most emotional criminal episodes. I never bother looking for further info but I am really glad the Facebook page shows us pictures. Really well made episode, a real mix of emotions.

Mike Harrison I’ve only listened a few times and only to recent episodes and tbh didn’t think they lived up to reviews of the podcast- I’m actually very progressive myself but I guess those themes are not that captivating for me when listening to true crime. Just ok. Maybe I’ll try some earlier episodes.

I love this show. At first I thought this series was just going to be another murder investigation every episode. But it's so much more. It's especially interesting because the actual "criminal" is usually in the episode.

This nearly happened to my mom too. They pretended to be a retired general. my mom loved talking to him. My brother and I spent a few weeks working on unmasking him. We got as far as proving to my mom he wasn't real. Found the profile pic on Google and he disappeared when we pointed it out to him. It was horrible because my parents just got divorced and my mom was falling in love again. They broke her heart and that's unforgivable.
