Woot! That was such a long time since I last recorded but guess what, I had so much fun recording this episode on Poems in Confession. The first episode of Season 2 of Poems by The Spearhead Poet! Woohoo! I am so happy that this humble podcast of mine has reached season two! And what can I say, this couldn't have been possible without your support. This one's by far the longest and there's no doubt, and the one special thing being that few of the clips were recorded o'er a serious of months, you got me right! The world we see today, is a picturesque collage of colours and brilliant, myriad shades, isn't it? And we celebrate everyday. We behold them in our eyes, feel them and convey them through our emotions, and well, there's so much that be said when it comes to colours. In my humble words, I try to recite my inspirations from colours into poems. Because not only am I a poet, I'm also an artist. What is the word that describes a person, who not just means to world to you, but without whom, the world can never exist in the first place? Mother. But is being a mother just a role, or a universal feeling embodied within a human heart that cares, nurtures and fosters everything around her? The one immortal emotion that could melt a stone and make poems flow from barren souls. This episode is my heartfelt tribute to all the mothers and the feeling of motherhood. The word mother has no gender or role, it is beyond the very definition of what we best try to define it in all might. As humans with souls that stretch itself along emotional extremities, we are bound to fall down and break. We are glass children, fragile and delicate yet we come back up on our feet. When we do, we come back a lot stronger than we were before. And that's true. Because what's broken is never left to be permanently broken, and what stays to be seen as strong is superficial. Healing starts the moment you begin to take in pain as the catalyst that pushes you forward. But most importantly Healing starts when you put the one important thing at first: YOU. Because you, are important. In this episode I illustrate the same through my poems and I do hope I have done justice to them. A very happy Woman's to all those lovely ladies out there! In this episode I reflect on how Woman's Day, like every other special day is a reminder to kinder, wiser and better version of ourselves. I try to celebrate the idea of feminity by reciting three of my pieces that are close to my heart, pieces that I sometimes read on a rainy day as well.
