Hostile Witness

Another brutal week for the Saints; another home loss. Ron is scoping out new teams and Charles is going through the five stages of grief. Arif Hasan returns wearing the partisan purple of the Vikings instead of the neutral shades of the draft expert. The Saints lose badly to the Falcons. Nothing good can come of this. Ron is losing faith and Charles is calling in from a tin can again. Jason Kirk is ready to laugh. Sad horns start the episode as the Saints fritter away a 12-point third quarter lead and fall to the Raiders in the home opener. Ron and Charles are staying positive and our Man in the Dome, Skooks, reports that the vibes are still really good despite the late collapse. Unclear if that will survive a loss to Atlanta as the RB and LB corps both are riddled with injuries.

I'll fix this later

Charles and Ron are back and surprisingly ok with a close week 1 loss with a lot to recommend it. A.R. Moxon, author of the novel The Revisionaries, the essay collections Very Fine People and Fighting in the Dark and the newsletter The Reframe joins Charles to talk about the futility of Lions fandom and how not to get a publisher.
