If the episode title seems familiar, it's because this episode is a continuation of the one we released a week prior. Guest Don Carli, President and co-founder of Nima Hunter, Inc. had so much to talk about when it came to the topics of audiences, activation, and acquisition that we couldn't limit the conversation to just one podcast. In case you missed it, we're diving into a little bit of who are your best customers and prospects? What does it take to pique their interests and shuffle them down the marketing funnel from awareness to consideration? And how do you convert them to paying customers, clients, or members? What can you expect to hear in part two of this interview? Once you've defined target audiences, how do you convert them? For companies that are going through mergers, acquisitions, and/or rebrands, what types of questions should leadership ask themselves as they transition their brand and customers? How do you ensure adoption of your go-to-market strategy or brand messaging across your entire organization? What are the top ways a brand can do now or in the future to stand out from competitors as they pursue their customer acquisition goals? One of the most popular topics on the podcast has been anything and everything related to podcast and digital audio advertising, and for good reason. A few years ago, the ad revenue forecasts for podcast advertising were estimated to pass the $1B mark in 2023, but that actually happened in 2021.What used to be an industry dominated by startup and direct-to-consumer advertisements has finally caught the attention of more traditional, mainstream brands. On this month's episode, we welcome Claritas EVP, Chase Miller to share his thoughts as answers to these questions: Will the current period of economic downturn have any effect on podcast and digital audio listenership or purchase behaviors? What can be learned by attending smaller, niche conferences like Podcast Movement, and why is it important to attend those in addition to larger general marketing events? Is there any competitive advantage for advertisers leveraging baked-in podcast ads vs. dynamically inserted ads (or vice versa)? If a brand wants to get started advertising via digital audio, what's the process like? What are the top KPIs to pay attention to when measuring the effectiveness of podcast or digital audio ads, what metrics aren't as important, and which are channel unique? What's next in the world of measurement and attribution solutions and how can advertisers ensure they stand out to consumers in a crowded marketplace? Welcome to the 2023 season of The Marketing Insider | A Claritas Podcast! For our first episode of the year, we welcome two experts in the world of privacy: Claritas CTO, Al Gadbut, and the CEO and Founder of BlueSky Privacy, Teresa Troester-Falk. Together, they share the details on the new consumer privacy legislations that go into effect this year and what that means for marketers, how the concept of Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) may limit the data you previously had access to, whether identity graphs will lose their efficacy with the new, more restrictive laws, how new solutions like Google Topics plan to fill the void that cookies are sure to leave behind, and what to do if your company is unsure of its compliance with the laws that went into effect on January 1st. So sit back and listen to this extra long episode and let us know which side you're on with the debate over whether we'll ever see a federal standard for privacy.Article on Google Topics: https://blog.google/products/chrome/get-know-new-topics-api-privacy-sandbox/  Download more episodes of the podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/0bCxDLausUUWlgsr3XwxuT  Learn about Claritas and find your best customers: https://claritas.com   Find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Claritas2.0/  Connect with us on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/claritas_mbs/   Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Claritas2_0

Digital audio goes by several names but, either way, more than 2/3 of the U.S. population is expected to be listeners by 2026 and most daily audio listening happens on digital devices. Advertisers, like the brand we talk about in this month's episode of The Marketing Insider | A Claritas Podcast, are taking full advantage of this and look for partners who can identify the right digital audio listeners, deliver campaigns across networks, and measure and optimize their performance in near real time. Join us for a 25-minute conversation as we welcome Darrell Jursa, VP of Global Media Enablement at IRI and Claritas' own Aaron Klayer, who define digital audio, give insight into the advertisers seeing success through this channel, compare it to traditional forms of media, and walk through a case study we collaborated on. Despite the collection having been completed nearly two years ago, Census 2020 is still on every marketer’s mind, especially after reports of population undercounts and delays in data releases. This month on The Marketing Insider, we’re joined by Claritas Sr. Demographer, Rachel Cortes, and Sr. Product Strategy Manager, Eliza Albert, who are both experts in the field of demographics, to get answers to the lingering questions heard from peers in the industry, general marketers, clients, and the everyday consumer. Tune in to get a refresher on just how important census data is, get an update on what data is available and what’s been delayed, and understand how data providers and the U.S. Census Bureau plan to deal with the fact that there were major undercounts of multicultural populations in certain geographies. The metaverse. If you haven’t heard of it yet, don’t worry. It’s a relatively new digital channel that advertisers are really only just now starting to incorporate into their strategies. This month on The Marketing Insider, we’re joined by Claritas VP of Marketing, Cort Irish, who gives us the basics of what the metaverse is. He also explains why Claritas decided to be an early adopter among data providers and help marketers identify consumers leveraging this digital marketplace for everyday activities. Show Notes The “Upfronts” may have just passed for this Fall’s lineup, but advertisers are already looking towards their next round of TV ad campaigns, and for good reason. TV advertising revenue in the U.S. is projected to reach nearly $77 billion this year. Securing ad space is important, but it’s equally important to make sure you’re reaching the right audience on the right (literal) channels, with the right messaging. This month on The Marketing Insider, we’re joined by Claritas VP of Measurement and Attribution, Jennifer Choromanski, who talks to us about another player in the game – CTV. She breaks down the common terminology you hear in the industry, where CTV fits in an advertiser’s strategy, how to measure the effectiveness of CTV ad campaigns, and if the demise of cookies has any effect on this industry. We also welcome Shelley Stansfield, Founder and Director of Special Ops at Centriply, a pure demand-side targeted TV platform for advertisers. Shelley shares what we can expect from the future of the TV media landscape, how network cable marketing opportunities differ from CTV, and how a retargeting campaign works in the TV landscape. It’s the first episode in a brand-new season of The Marketing Insider, and we’re diving into one of the industry’s hottest topics – identity resolution. Frequent guest of the podcast, Claritas’ own CTO, Al Gadbut, joins to talk about the continued evolution of identity graphs and how they should fit in your marketing strategy. Al also gives an update on where we’re at with establishing a gold standard for this technology (spoiler alert, there are no rules!) and he brings us up to speed on current and upcoming consumer data privacy regulations that have already changed since the last episode we recorded together. The 2020 Census marked the 24th census in U.S. history, but now that the data collection is done, what happens next? This month on The Marketing Insider, we’ve invited two experts from Claritas on – Sr. Product Strategy Manager, Eliza Albert, and Data Science Consultant and Demographer, Ken Hodges. They managed to provide answers to (almost) all of your census and demographic questions, in this highly anticipated episode. They also walked away with some questions of their own that they look forward to getting answered as data continues to become available. Listen in as Ken, who was part of an advisory committee for Census 2010, talks about how the average American has the power to provide input into future census surveys and how the hot topic of differential privacy is playing out in real time. Eliza discusses more of the practicalities of using analyzed census data to make strategic business decisions, including sharing examples for why marketers should care, and both lay out their top tips for making the most out of your investments when working with data providers who deal in the currency of the census.
