The original, A Nightmare on Elm Street is still considered an iconic moment of the horror genre, and for obvious reasons. It's cartoonish, its gory and more than that, its unique. This is the first episode in a series that I'm calling "Ruining Classics", in which I discuss remakes or reboots of classic movies and TV, which are mostly horrible ideas which should never have reached principle photography. And I had to start with the CGI trash fire that is A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) - a nightmare for all the wrong reasons....
