The Greer Police Department will be participating in the national Operation Clear Track initiative on September 20 and the Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department will host Railfest on Saturday, September 24 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Greer City Park. Both events are a reminder that Greer was built around the railroad and serve as an opportunity to stress railroad safety for drivers and pedestrians.
