Janne gives us a deep dive into the efficacy of noise-masking technologies on sleep performance. Thought to be an ideal solution to drown out ambient noise that impedes sleep, new studies are now indicating that while noise-masking may help you fall asleep, it can actually be detrimental to one’s overall sleep performance – in particular slow-wave (deep) and REM sleep cycles. This is significant given that noise-masking – white noise, brown noise, or soundscapes – are some of the most common tools used by people to improve sleep. In fact, there are over 250 white noise apps on the Google Play store – that actually may be doing more harm than good.Janne speaks in detail on topics such as: the epidemic of noise-induced sleeplessness and its impact on societies ($900B/ year in lost productivity); emerging science concerning the efficacy of white noise; a comparison of white noise vs. active noise cancelling tech; and more.https://quieton.com/Here's the coupon code you can use: fitnessandhealth10 for 10%Welcome to the In Fitness & In Health Podcast Thanks so much for listening to the In Fitness and In Health podcast!Head to Westriveapp.com/podcast to learn more

As the founder of Terra, he's built a platform that can bridge the gap between mobile apps and smart watches.Today, as the founder of WeStrive, I have to setup relationships with each smart watch in order to get them on my app. It's an exhausting process and now, it's not necessary. Thanks to Kyriakos and his team, Terra is an API we can add into WeStrive that will allow any of ours users to connect their app to 15+ wearables. It's absolutely genius.Throughout the podcast, we cover why Kyriakos decided to pursue this idea, his background in the Greek Special Forces, and where his love for fitness came from.Check out tryterra.co to learn more.Welcome to the In Fitness & In Health Podcast Thanks so much for listening to the In Fitness and In Health podcast!Head to Westriveapp.com/podcast to learn more
Welcome to the In Fitness & In Health PodcastNeil Thanedar graduated from college and immediately got to work. His company, Labdoor, is arguably the best company on the planet when it comes to independent research of the supplement industry. I actually purchased a pre-workout off of their website before recording this interview (and if you can get a broke startup-founder like me to spend $40+ on something online, then you know you have a quality product). They have made millions of dollars, raised $7M in funding from notable investors like Mark Cuban, and have transformed the supplement industry.Neil can be described as an entrepreneur, scientist, philanthropist, and activist. He is also the founder & CEO of Air to All, a nonprofit medical device startup designing low-cost respirators and ventilators for COVID-19 and beyond. He was previously co-founder and President of Avomeen Analytical Services, a product development and testing lab acquired for $30M+ in 2016. He has also served as Executive Director of The Detroit Partnership and Senior Advisor to his father Shri Thanedar in his campaigns for Governor and State Representative in Michigan.‍Some great lessons for founders that he speaks on:Every time customers give you feedback, write it down and analyze it. Create a company you're passionate about. Send monthly email updates to investors. As a business owner, you have to understand every aspect of your business, even if it's just a little bit - Everything from marketing, coding languages, business law, etc.‍Enjoy the episode!Welcome to the In Fitness & In Health Podcast Thanks so much for listening to the In Fitness and In Health podcast!Head to Westriveapp.com/podcast to learn more
