13 September 2025 Daily Devotion: "Measuring Ministry by God's Sphere" 2 Corinthians 10:13 New Living Translation 13 We will not boast about things done outside our area of authority. We will boast only about what has happened within the boundaries of the work God has given us, which includes our working with you. Some troubles and trials come our way simply because we live in a fallen world. Certain people will stand against us when we stand firm on the truths of Scripture. Then there are the hardships that, if we're honest, we bring upon ourselves. God has assigned an area of influence to each of us. We'll find joy in faithfully tending what has been entrusted to us, whether family, finances, or a specific ministry. The easiest way to lose joy and gain stress is to begin worrying about another person's area of influence or to begin comparing areas. Solomon advised his people to “know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds” (Proverbs 27:23, emphasis added). To live joyfully, we must learn to stay in our own lane, to focus on our area of influence, and to know well the condition of our own “flocks.”

02 November 2025 Daily Devotion: "Appointed to Eternal Life" Acts 13:48 New Living Translation 48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were very glad and thanked the Lord for his message; and all who were chosen for eternal life became believers. Acts 13:48 says, "When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed." This verse captures a moment of joy and acceptance. The Gentiles, who were notoriginally part of God's covenant people, are filled with gladness at the good news of salvation. It reflects God's inclusive love and the widening of His promise of eternal life to all people, beyond ethnic or cultural boundaries.Devotionally, this can inspire us to reflect on God's boundless grace. Just as the Gentiles rejoiced, we too can celebrate that salvation is offered to everyone who believes. It encourages us to embrace God's message with joy and to share it with others who may feel overlooked or excluded. May this verse remind you of the joy found in God's inclusive love and inspire you to honor and share His word with openness and gratitude. Remember, His promise is for all who believe, encouraging us to live with faith and hope.
01 November 2025 Daily Devotion: "Grace of God" Acts 11:23 New Living Translation 23 When he arrived and saw this evidence of God’s blessing, he was filled with joy, and he encouraged the believers to stay true to the Lord. Acts 11:23 says, "When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts." In this verse, Barnabas visits the believers in Antioch and witnesses the transforming power of God's grace among them. He is filled with joy and urges them to stay devoted to the Lord wholeheartedly. This devotion is about maintaining a steadfast commitment to their faith and the teachings of Jesus. Remaining true to the Lord with all your heart involves trust, obedience, and love. It's about seeking God in every aspect of life and being faithful, even in challenges. Barnabas's joy reflects how God delights in our devotion. Remember, devotion to God brings peace and strength. Encourage one another in faith, supporting each other togrow closer to Him. Embrace the grace you've received, and let it inspire you to live a life that honors God, trusting in His unfailing love and guidance.
31 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "The Lord Whom We Waited For" Isaiah 25:9 New International Version 9 In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.” Isaiah 25:9 states, "In that day they will say, 'Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.'" This verse offers a beautiful picture of hope and faith. It speaks of a future time when God will fulfill His promises, bringing salvation and joy to His people. The trust placed in God is central to our relationship with Him. Just as thepeople in Isaiah’s time looked forward to their deliverance, we too can hold on to the assurances that come from faith in God. In your own life, reflect on times when you have felt God's presence or experienced His saving grace. Trusting in God during difficult times can lead to a deep sense of peace and joy. Like those in Isaiah’s vision, we too can rejoice in knowing that our God is with us, saving us from despair and leadingus into hope. Let this verse encourage you to continue trusting in God's plan for your life, drawing strength from His promises, and nurturing a heart of gratitude for His salvation.
30 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Be Glad and Rejoice in His Salvation" Isaiah 25:9 New Living Translation 9 In that day the people will proclaim, “This is our God! We trusted in him, and he saved us! This is the Lord, in whom we trusted. Let us rejoice in the salvation he brings!” Isaiah 25:9 states, “In that day they will say, ‘Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.’” This verse reminds us of a future time when God’s salvation will be fully realized. It speaks of hope, trust, and a deep, abiding joy that comes from knowing and relying on the Lord. The people in Isaiah’s time faced trials, but their hope in God was unwavering. As you reflect on this scripture, consider the importance of trust in your own life. What is it that you need to surrender to God today? He invites us to place our faith in Him, just as the people of Isaiah’s day did. Remember that trusting God leads to the joy of His salvation, transforming our lives. Take a moment to express gratitude for His past faithfulness and the promises He holds for your future. Rejoice in the assurance that God saves, and let that truth inspire a life filled with hope and joy, even amidst challenges. Embrace His love and let it guide you each day.
29 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "The Joy of God's Gift" Ecclesiastes 5:20 New Living Translation 20 God keeps such people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past. Ecclesiastes 5:20 says, "They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart." This verse invites us to ponder the fleeting nature of life and the importance of gratitude. In our fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in our daily tasks and worries, forgetting to appreciate the blessings around us. The writer of Ecclesiastes encourages us to pause and recognize the joy and gladness that God provides. When we actively reflect on our lives, we begin to see how even small moments can be filled with God's grace. Consider setting aside time each day to reflect on your experiences, noticing the good amidst the challenges. As you do this, invite God into your reflections and seek to understand His hand in your life. Remember, joy isn’t just about happiness; it’s about a deeper connection with God and recognizing His presence. Allow His gladness to fill your heart, and share that joy with others. In doing so, we cultivate a thankful spirit and a more profound appreciation for the gift of life.
28 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Singing for Joy at the Works of His Hands" Psalm 92:4 New Living Translation 4 You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me I sing for joy because of what you have done. Psalm 92:4 says, "For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done." This verse invites us to reflect on the greatness of God’s works and the joy they inspire within us. It encourages us to recognize the many ways God is actively at work in our lives, the beauty of creation, the love from those around us, and the miracles, both big and small. When we take time to contemplate God’s deeds—His provision, His guidance, His forgiveness—we can’t help but respond with gratitude and joy. Think about the moments when you've felt God’s presence or seen His hand in your circumstances. Singing for joy, whether literally or through our daily actions, is a natural expression of our gratitude. As you meditate on this verse, consider keeping a journal of blessings and moments that bring you joy. Celebrate God's goodness, and let that joy overflow in your life. Remember, your praise not only uplifts you but also reflects His glory to those around you. Keep your heart open to the joy that comes from knowing and experiencing God’s love.
27 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Morning Joy" Psalm 90:14 New Living Translation 14 Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives. Psalm 90:14 says, “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.” This verse invites us to seek God's love and fulfillment each day. In the hustle of life, it’s easy to focus on our worries and desires, but this Psalm reminds us of the importance of starting our day with gratitude and an awareness of God's presence. As the Israelites looked for God’s faithfulness in the wilderness, we are encouraged to do the same. When we seek His unfailing love and recognize His grace in our lives, it brings joy and a renewed spirit. Consider making it a daily practice to pray and reflect on God’s love each morning. Let His love fill your heart, shaping your perspective and actions throughout the day. As you sing for joy, remember that God's promises are always fulfilled. He offers us hope and contentment even in challenging times. May this verse inspire you to seek Him daily and experience the fullness of joy that comes from His everlasting love.
26 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Come to Me" Matthew 11:28-30 New Living Translation 28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For myyoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:30 states, "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." This verse invites us to reflect on the nature of our relationship with Christ. When Jesus speaks of His yoke, He is using an agricultural metaphor—a yoke is a tool used to join two animals together to work. When we partner with Jesus, He carries the weight of our struggles alongside us. Take a moment to consider the burdens you carry: worries, stresses, or expectations. Jesus invites you to share these with Him. He assures us that in Him, the heavy burdens of life become manageable. His leadership is gentle and His guidance is filled with love. As you reflect on this verse, meditate on what it means to take His yoke upon you. What will you lay down at His feet today? Remember, He desires a relationship with you that lightens your load. Trust Him to help you navigate life's difficulties. Pray for the strength to embrace His yoke. Allow His peace to fill your heart as you find rest in His presence. Walk confidently, knowing you are never alone.
25 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Exceeding Joy" Psalm 68:3 New Living Translation 3 But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy. Psalm 68:3 says, "But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful." This verse encourages us to embrace joy in our relationship with God. When we think of the term "righteous," it reflects those who strive to live according to God’s will. This passage reminds us that in following God’s ways, we find genuine happiness and joy. It invites us to celebrate not only in good times but also to find peace amid life's challenges, knowing that God is with us. As you reflect on this verse, consider the areas of your life where you can practice gratitude and joy. Rejoice in the blessings you have; however small they may seem. Sharing your joy with others and being a source of encouragementcan also help spread God's love. Let this devotion lead you to live joyfully and to embrace the righteousness that God offers through faith in Him. In your moments of struggle, remember you can still rejoice in God's presence and promises.
24 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Weeping Into Joy" Psalm 126:5-6 New Living Translation 5 Those who plant in tear will harvest with shouts of joy. 6 They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest. Psalm 126:5 states, "Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy." This verse beautifully captures the cycle of sorrow and joy in our lives. When we experience pain, whether from loss, struggle, or a personal trial, it can feel overwhelming. Yet, this scripture reminds us that God sees our tears and understands our heartache. Devotionally, we are encouraged to embrace ourstruggles and bring them to God. Sowing with tears symbolizes the emotional investment we make in our relationships, dreams, and even our faith. It acknowledges that pain can be part of a larger divine plan. As we navigate through our grief, we can hold onto the hope that joy follows sorrow. God promises that our grief will not last forever. Joy will come—sometimes in the form of healing, new beginnings, or deeper faith. Consider how you can actively sow love and kindness, even through tough times. Trust that God is working behind the scenes, transforming your heartache into something beautiful. Let the promise of joy inspire you, knowing that future songs of joy await you.
23 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "The Aroma of Christ" 2 Corinthians 2:15 New Living Translation 15 Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. This verse invites us to reflect on our role as Christians in the world. Just as a pleasing aroma can fill a room, our actions and faith should spread the love and light of Christ. As followers of Jesus, we carry His presence with us, impacting those around us—believers and non-believers alike. Consider how you can be an aroma of Christ in your daily life. Are your words and actions uplifting? Are you showing kindness and compassion, even in challenging situations? The way we live can draw others to God or push them away. As you meditate on this verse, ask God to help you reflect His love and grace. Remember, our lives can be a testimony to the transformative power of Christ. Let your faith shine brightly, so others may come to know Him through you. Embrace the mission, and be that sweet aroma in your community!
22.October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Stir Up One Another" Hebrews 10:25 New Living Translation 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. This verse highlights the importance of community and fellowship among believers. Gathering together offers support, accountability, and encouragement. When times are tough or faith is waning, coming together with others who share your faith can reignite your passion and renew your spirit. In the hustle and bustle of life, it can be easy to neglect meeting with others, but this verse reminds us that fellowship is crucial, especially as we see signs of the Day of the Lord approaching. More than just attending church, it's about genuinely connecting, uplifting one another, and growing together in faith. Remember, you are not alone in your journey. God created us for community, and being part of a supportive faith family can strengthen and sustain you. So, seek out fellowship and be that source of encouragement for others as well.
20 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Shine Brightly for Christ" Philippians 2:14-15 says, "Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, 'children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.' Then you will shine among them like stars in thesky." This scripture encourages us to adopt a spirit of gratitude and harmony. In our everyday life, it's easy to complain or engage in disputes. Yet, Paul urges us to rise above these tendencies, showing integrity and purity in our actions. By doing so, we reflect God’s light in a world that often lacks love andunderstanding. Think about the stars—how they stand out in the darkness. Similarly, we are called to be beacons of hope and goodness through our actions and attitudes. When we choose kindness over conflict, we mirror God's love to those around us. Embrace this challenge with joy, knowing you contribute to a community that uplifts and inspires. Remember, your efforts to live peacefully reflect the beauty and truth of God's kingdom. Keep shining brightly, for in doing so, you fulfill God's purpose for you.
19 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Talkers and Doers" Proverbs 14:23 New Living Translation 23 Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty! What's the best part of your job? Some people would immediately answer, "Friday!” or “Payday!” But living joyfully means paying attention to not just your hard-earned paycheck but also what you're learning along the way. The joyful reward of a day's work is not just monetary, it's, also. the inevitable molding and shaping that's happening to you as a person-changes and improvements in your character or skill set you often don't even notice. For example, even an entry-level job can teach a person a great deal about technology, leadership, problem-solving, communication, and taking responsibility. It can mold someone's character by strengthening his or her capacity for patience. It can bring a timid person out of his shell or teach anargumentative individual about the art of negotiation. If you have a friend who's also a trusted colleague, ask him or her, “Do you feel I'm a more skilled or knowledgeable person than I was the day I was hired? In what way(s)?” You just might be delighted and surprised at the answer.
18 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Shout for Joy" Psalm 32:11 (NIV) "Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!" This verse is a call to joy and celebration in the Lord. It's an encouragement to let the joy of being in right standing with God fill your heart and overflow in praise. In life, we may face trials and challenges, but this psalm reminds us of the joy found in God's forgiveness and grace. When we are upright inheart—aligned with God's will and receiving His mercy—we can experience deep, abiding joy. Reflect on the joy that comes from knowing God intimately and being transformed by His love. Allow this joy to move you to a place of worship, where you can express your gratitude and delight in who God is. Even when circumstances are difficult, remember that your source of true joy is God Himself. Rejoice in His presence and let your heart sing! May this joy be your strength and comfort as you walk with Him daily.
17 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Eternal Blessings and Joy" Psalm 21:6 New International Version 6 Surely you have granted him unending blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence. This verse lies within a psalm of David, celebrating God's strength and provision. When reflecting on this verse, consider how God continually blesses us, not just with material things but with the joy found in His presence. It reminds us that the true source of lasting joy and contentment is not in our temporary circumstances but in our relationship with God. In your daily life, seek this joy by spending time with God through prayer and worship. Remember that His blessings are ongoing and abundant. God's presence can transform any situation, bringing a sense of peace and fulfillment that surpasses all understanding. May you find encouragement in knowing that God's blessings and joy are available to you each day. Allow His presence to fill your heart, making it glad beyond measure. In times of uncertainty or struggle, lean on this assurance: God is with you, and His joy is your strength.
16 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "Live at Peace" Romans 12:18 New Living Translation 18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. Forgiveness is a tricky thing, isn't it? It's also very misunderstood. Are we supposed to forgive someone who isn't sorry? What if we seek forgiveness but the person doesn't extend it to us? Attempting to live at peace with people (and Paul did say everyone!) can cause a person to lose a little joy if she doesn't focus on the entire instruction. Paul says, “Do all that you can” (emphasis added). Have you intentionally or unintentionally hurt someone? Then you need to attempt to make peace. Whether or not that person forgives you is between him and God. Has someone hurt you and you harbor ill feelings toward her? You need to forgive her (Ephesians 4:32).Whether or not that person comes to you and seeks forgiveness is between her and God. Freedom and joy come when we do all we can do to live at peace and leave the rest to God.
15 October 2025 Daily Devotion: "The Lord Reigns" 1 Chronicles 16:31 New Living Translation 31 Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Tell all the nations, “The Lord reigns!” Do you ever listen to national or world news and feel as if everything is spinning completely out of control? There's anger on the Internet, divisions within families, and war across the globe. No wonder people feel overwhelmed. A lot of the uncertainty comes when we forget that God is still in control of His creation. It doesn't matter what takes place or what disasters are predicted, God's world is firmly established and nothing can happen without His knowledge (1Chronicles 16:30). A professor once said, “Has it ever occurred to you that nothing has ever occurred to God? “Nothing scares or surprises the Lord who reigns over all. Confusion and chaos will never lead to a life of joy. Living joyfully is possible only when we remember that the Lord reigns. Whatever today, tomorrow, or next year may bring, we'll rejoice knowing that God has it all under control.
