Hope On The Horizon

2022 brings transparency, overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our Testimony, Lion of Judah who rescues us from the pit, He who brings light into the darkness and makes crooked paths straight!!! Today we talk about depression, health struggles - autoimmunity, hashimoto hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, leaky gut and fatty liver - and how faithful God is in spite of sickness, depression, feeling like you are in a pit with no way out.... but GOD - Yahweh - Creator of all things who orchestrates things and our path to draw us back to Him.  He brings light to the darkness.  He is faithful even when we are not! Psalm 139 Adonai, you have probed me, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I stand up, you discern my inclinations from afar, You scrutinize my daily activities. You are so familiar with all my ways that before I speak even a word, Adonai, you know all about it already. You have hemmed me in both behind and in front and laid your hand on me. Such wonderful knowledge is beyond me, far too high for me to reach. Where can I go to escape your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I climb up to heaven, you are there; if I lie down in Sh’ol, you are there. If I fly away with the wings of the dawn and land beyond the sea,  even there your hand would lead me, your right hand would hold me fast. If I say, “Let darkness surround me, let the light around me be night,” even darkness like this is not too dark for you; rather, night is as clear as day, darkness and light are the same. For you fashioned my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I thank you because I am awesomely made, wonderfully; your works are wonders — I know this very well. My bones were not hidden from you when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes could see me as an embryo, but in your book all my days were already written; my days had been shaped before any of them existed. God, how I prize your thoughts! How many of them there are! If I count them, there are more than grains of sand; if I finish the count, I am still with you. God, if only you would kill off the wicked! Men of blood, get away from me! Goodbye 2021 and all past years and hello 2022 and all that God is calling us to do and be.  This is a Word He gave me.  It is not our normal "10-12 minute drive time" but rather longer with His Word, my testimony and His redeeming blood... “Then I heard a loud voice in Heaven saying, ‘Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Anointed One, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters—the one who accuses them before our God day and night—has been thrown out. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives even in the face of death.’” Revelation 12:10-11

Grace and Peace to you.  Welcome to Hope on the Horizon - Episode 007 - A Call To Active Duty. That title is from Father God. He woke me up early in the morning on Tuesday twice.  The first time to pray.  The second time I just naturally began to pray when He quickened in my spirit to quiet my thoughts and prayers.  I then heard Holy Spirit say "I have called my children to active duty".  I asked the Lord what that could possibly mean.  I woke my husband, a former Marine, up to ask what it meant when you are called to active duty.  There is the military call to active duty and the spiritual call. God has confirmed that He is calling His children to arise. wake up. draw near to Him.  This is the message for His children. He is so gracious to gently call us - gently minister to us.  This is that!  Beloved - the alarm clock has sounded - it is time to arise.  Get your garments on - it is time for ACTIVE duty with the King of kings. He confirmed this Word a couple of hours later through a dear friend who He speaks through and prophecies His Words through.  Beloved we are in Joel 2 (go read it!!). It is critical that we listen to the alarm while it is still gently, the winds of change are JUST beginning and the storm/war/battle has not begun.   I kept today's message short - even with intro and close of the music - we are just at 10 minutes.... Yes - we skipped last week - sort of.... check out my blog post about HOPE and Titus 3 (as this was what I thought would have been Episode 005 of this podcast).  In that blog post you can read with me some of what Holy Spirit has been teaching me....  I guess in a way this is part 2 of that personal Word He gave me.... but He wanted to minister INDIVIDUALLY to me.... I am assured if you go read it - He will have a personal Word for you too.  But now.... we look at gentleness. SCRIPTURE NOTES: Titus 3:2 ESV "To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people." 1 Peter 3:15 ESV "But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect..." Suffering for Righteousness' Sake (1 Peter 3:8-17) Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil."

Today, join my 9 year old Zechariah and I as we talk about Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord your God with all you heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path."   We took a roadtrip to our state capitol and talked about paths being directed by God just like the GPS (or Waze) does when traveling.  We "introduce" y'all to Bear Bear our super smart German Shepherd and even use her in a teachable moment.  What you won't hear is our conversations after this time together on our roadtrip as the Lord straightened some crooked paths for Zechariah and I.   This is part 1.  It is simple. It was for Zechariah as much as for me.  Part 2 is just me talking about this message with a little more meat and fervency.  If you have time - please listen to both. This week - let's just enter in prayer.  Let's also repent because I don't know about you but I want to start fresh - fresh eyes, fresh ears, fresh heart.  I cannot do that if I am carrying around the stuff from this week into the next.  As we enter into our Sabbath rest this weekend.... let's seek His face.  And I take from this week the knowledge that my plans for Hope on the Horizon (and many hours of recording that I have kindly put in the trash can) weren't His.  I want HIM to use this platform for HIS will, plans and purposes and not mine!  How about you?  Has it been "a week" and you need a reset?  Then let's pray together!  Just 10 minutes.... so that we can look with fresh eyes for HOPE on the Horizon!!

Grace and Peace to You! Welcome to Hope On The Horizon. My name is Suzanne. In July 2021, on a trip through Washington DC, Holy Spirit spoke to my heart to start a podcast. He ministered to start it after Feast of Tabernacles. Thus - my official podcast for Hope On The Horizon is birthed today! After much prayer - the Lord gave me the name for this podcast.  I heard in my spirit - HOPE on the Horizon.  Thankfully there wasn't a podcast with this name (there are some variations but not just these 4 words).  So of course I had to see what the words meant...after all I am a WORD NERD!!  For this intro - I want to be sure to include the Strong's Concordance meanings since I was truly blown away by what the Lord showed me about the word Horizon - check it out further below in this description.   The purpose of Hope On The Horizon's podcast is for us to dig deep for 10 minutes and find HOPE on the Horizon. We are going to explore the Hidden things of His Word.  In the Old Testament Hebrew, Horizon is ḥōq (pronounced hoke) and is Strong’s #2706; meaning statute, ordinance, something prescribed, like a prescribed task, portion, limit, boundary, decree, condition, and even law or enactments. In the New Testament Greek, it is horizo (pronounced hor-id'-zo) and is Strong’s #3724: meaning to mark out or bound ("like horizon"), to appoint, decree, specify:--declare, determine, limit, to ordain. So simply put - HOPE is decreed. HOPE is a determined boundary. How do we expand the boundary of hope in our life? We go through some STUFF! Scripture says in Romans 5:1-2 “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. If we believe and walk with God in Jesus Christ - we have gained access into an amazing grace and salvation. And so we can boast in the hope of the glory of God. But then it goes on to say how we can EXPAND and GROW in the fullness of HOPE. Romans 5:3-4 says "And not only that (hope of the glory of God), but we also (are to) glory in tribulations, knowing that those tribulations produce perseverance; and that perseverance produces character in us; and then that character (which is of GOD) will produces HOPE in us. And verse 5 says “Now HOPE does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” As we seek Him. Ten minutes or so - to listen, to pray, to worship, to decree, specify, ordain according to the Word of God - we will see HOPE on the Horizon. For the Horizon is God’s Word. Hope in HIM. Hope in HIS WORD. Hope in what happened on the cross of Calvary and that He now is seated at the right hand of the Father for you and me. For our spouses (present or future), for our children (present or future), for our communities, cities, states, countries. Two remaining things.... I would like to thank God for some awesome people in my life. They bravely blazed a trail for stepping out in faith on ministry via podcasts first. Part 2 of Proverbs 3:5-6.  On our return road trip - the little guy Zechy had fallen asleep and Holy Spirit prompted me that we needed to move from milk to meat.  That we must not just Trust in the Lord but GROW UP IN HIM.  To dig deep into His Word so we can know WHAT is on the Horizon.  Holy Spirit is ministering to His Body what some of it looks like out on the Horizon. We must prepare and we must know how to test the spirit and seek His confirmation and His truth.  Time to grow up...unless you are 9 years old like Zechy  -  but even then - to be trained up in the way we should go... Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
